Loot @feet was implemented in wvw for reasons i dont know but it is good (im longbow ranger ! ).

When in open world pve it feels silly killing something with any ranged weapon and then having to run over to it for loot. Ok maybe that makes sense but being spoiled by wvw setup makes me want that in other game formats aswell please.

Not suggesting all loot @feet by default. Infact it could be reverted to @corpse looting in wvw and then add toggle to f11 options menu as all other loots options are currently.

Ty.

loot at feet was implemented since its hard to go over to that enemy zerg and loot the players you just killed, that limitation aint there in pve so no need to have same feature.

It is done that way in WvW because the enemies can be in unreachable places and it was before AoE loot got implemented.

I played as ranger and even her range weapon seem that all i do is kill and press F and get the loot, even at a distance.

  • Event rewards appear magically on the right of my screen
  • Heart-quests start without having to run to an NPC
  • ….

And I like that.

Why do I have to care about grabbing loot? I mean Tyria has pets and golems and …. loot collection should be automated, it’s not really a big challenge, only routine and from time to time (especially in WvW) annoyance when you lie dead beside your steel chest.

I would not vote for loot-by-feed, I would vote for loot-to-inv!

I would like auto collect, or at least allow loot collection even when dead, lol.

I would like it, if just to save me from having to backtrack every time I see experience flash in front of me from a kill I participated in ten seconds ago and moved on from. I’ve had enough valuable loot drop behind me to fuel my paranoia. Especially as Anet adds larger events like the Silverwastes that require a lot of moving from place to place from enemy wave to enemy wave it seems like a good idea.

I can’t imagine it would break immersion. You can already gather a large amount of loot from a wide adjacent area without actually having to loot the bodies. It works well in WvW and because it makes it less likely we’ll miss drops it’s generally superior to what we have in PvE.

It’s always weird for me when I switch from playing WvW for a long time to PvE and remember that I have to go get the drops on my nonmelee characters. I’m sure I’ve missed some just because you get out of the habit of it while playing in the mists.

Just to add to your paranoia, imagining all the possible times a precursor might have dropped…You can always take solace in the fact that it almost definitely did not, but you never know!

+1

I wish they would add auto loot already.

They added aoe loot and have wvw loot at your feet. With that already in place, I don’t see the problem in getting what you already worked for.

Some people suggested mini pet could pick up your loot, maybe not a bad idea to add this.

Hm, yes, auto-loot buyable at Gem-shop. I would be in favor. But it should work, independently of mini-shown or not (as mini’s are e.g. out in WvW, as they aren’t made invisible by mesmer walls), and not depend on an animation of the mini running around (to much irrelevant stuff running around on my screen anyway).

Loot-into-my Bag, thanks. Never mind my frigging feet.

Auto-loot, should “auto-loot”, and put my loot in my bag. Thanks.

This was one of my first complaints ever in this game, and it’s still not fixed.

My posts are facts as I know them, or my own opinion, and do not represent any guild.

I would like loot at feet since I am often unsure if I have just passed through an area and missed picking up loot. I do not see the point of loot directly in bags and believe that it is not broken not to have it that way.

As much as i would love auto loot it just not gonna happen do to bots
now what they can do is add a new color dot on map for loot on the ground kinda like how D3 dose it with there legendary items showing up on map with a orange dot

Maybe because it isn’t broken? You’re asking for a feature, not pointing out a broken mechanic.

I would also prefer auto-loot, but the current system isn’t broken in the slightest. I don’t think I’ve ever played a game that has auto-loot.

I won’t stop because I can’t stop.
