If this is a thread asking for communication on certain things (as opposed to a wishlist thread), then I think there is either some rule or general policy that such threads aren’t appropriate. May be wrong though.

But while the thread is here, I’ll offer the list I’m after

and so on. Other niggling things and annoyances as well, but thats the main one that, as a system in itself an how I feel Anet has handled it, has really dented my enjoyment and passion for the game.

I can’t believe no one has mentioned traits yet.

It’s not that such threads are inappropriate, it’s Anet has an internal policy that forbids them from speaking on the details future updates/content until such a time as they are closer to launch.

OP: As stated, you won’t get a response on whats to be coming out, unless its being revealed a blog post. That has always been Anets policy, and will continue to be Anets policy. Whether or not you agree with said policy is an entirely different matter. But one that isn’t going to change based on public opinion.

The expansion is the continuation of the LS. And no they won’t give a release date until it’s close. Please see my above response. Thanks!

Except for, y’know, traits. They’ve been talking (without saying anything) for seven months now. And two months since they “revealed” that a new system is incoming.

Yeah, please fix the lousy current trait system. We hates it, precious.

What about unannounced changes? We can never tell when a change is intentional or not because anet is so against including 90% of the things they do in the patch notes.

I do wonder why people want more communication when they clearly don’t care about what is actually communicated. We already KNOW that they will fix the trait-system with the expansion and that we will get more information about the changes at some point between now and the expansion’s release.

We know that they will change the system. We don’t know if the new system will be any better. There is also a slight difference between what Gaile and Colin (I think it was Colin, may be wrong, but it was another Anet) gave as timeframes, with Gaile talking about quarters and how it will not go so far as a certain point, and then followed by the other Anet person saying vaguely it is being changed in line with HoT philosophy, making it a little unclear if it will be with HoT, or before, which, at least from some players standpoint, was the view that seemed to be originally given.

Also another Anet dev said there were valid points and changes that could be made some 7 months ago.

If the assurances of the last month or so were given a month or so after release, then communication would be seen as decent, and there would be a feeling that it’ll be done, we should be patient and await news.

But with such a huge delay between the release o the trait system, the storm of criticism and about 10 months of that before ANet confirmed a change is going to come, it is not unsurprising that there is a hunger for more information after so long, and a lack of confidence in it being done well. Trust in Anet was undeniably damaged for a fair few over this, and how it was handled. Until a system is actually in and addresses the concerns, a good number will not be all too willing to say how great Anet is and they are all better now. And even after it is released, it will still take time and effort for trust to be restored.

+from what i read its a continuation of the current ls story but is there going to be more and different LS is my question it hasn’t been stated as of yet. i like to know if LS is the story that leads up to expansions or is there going to be a possible fixing of lions arch LS or is it completely dead.

More than likely. The expansion will tie up the current story and set the stage for the next season. Which could very well go back to the LS realease schedule.
As for LA. It better be fixed in the expansion. There really isn’t any reason for it not to be.
It would also be neat to see the rebuilding of LA tied into guild halls somehow. But we won’t know anything until the tell us.

I second both the OP’s concerns.

World bosses are a staple part of the PvE enjoyment in the open world. And bosses such as the triple worm and the vinewrath show a lot of potentially for less boring world boss implementations without requiring something like a hardcore raiding guild to do them.

I hope the world bosses in the xpack are based upon these design principles, not being trivial to do but rather requiring a modicum of in-the-moment policing and organization.

As for guild missions, yes please it’s getting boring. :x

At least add tons of new treks / rushes / challenges and 1-2 new puzzles. And a handful of bounties. Ideally, also add a new type.

I’d be happy if they would fix one BUG…just fix the kitten bug…and don’t add anything else in the game until HOT release but fix the Unforgiving Infiltration Mole BUG!!! it’s been 3 weeks now….We can’t finish a cosmetic set cause of that…

And again, you wont get any info until they either make an official announcement on the state of LA, either through a blog post about whats coming in the expansion, or keep it secret until the expansion launches and we are pleased to discovered that LA has been rebuilt.

And again, you wont get any info until they either make an official announcement on the state of LA, either through a blog post about whats coming in the expansion, or keep it secret until the expansion launches and we are pleased to discovered that LA has been rebuilt.

and the topic of this discussion is requesting info. it something id like to know will i get it. i doubt it. the one thing i hate about anet is their lack of communication even on stuff they could tell us but wont. im sure they know but they stay tight lipped about everything
