id just like to throw out there… this has happened several times sense my OP.

i list a group as “no skipping, no exploits, ‘playing’ content.”

i then have people join the group so say “skipping is not an exploit!” then leave.

this unlists my LFG, and i have to relist. (they’re usually the first guy.)

even when i /w these folks, and say things like, “hey the lfg is optional, and I’m sorry my lfg description ground your gears, but you could have opted to ignore it.” i get sassy replies, or blocked.

so what i keep coming around to, is that we desperately need to have the meta destroyed.

I’m not gonna say, how, or what, specifically should be done, but we need a reason for the “meta” crowd to end up acting like everyone else.

just sayin’.

You need a reason for the meta to be destroyed? Because you don’t want to play like them? You’re a hypocrite. And if they “destroy” the meta, another one will just take its place and within a week you’ll be crying about that one. Grow up.

Meta players are usually the hypocrites. This is how it runs with them; He don’t play meta then he is a noob.
Just constantly seeing Metazerk fractal 50 group with 1 gard/1 war/1 thief/2 ele else kick is just laughable.
The worst is when they spend; their whole kittenin time lying on the ground. But hey they play Meta zerk.
If people want to play meta fine by me but stop being an kitten about it every kittenin time.

Currently enjy the meta thinking in fractal :
Mossman: underwater.
hungerbloom: burst him down.
Mai trin: invisible during whole cannon phase; if died unconnect/reconnect or one stay outside still seeing the boss life bar.
flame & frost: burst down berserker.
Colossus: stay on one upper corner & DPS the boss.
Yes that’s clever use of game mechanics……just kidding.

What? You went from calling “metazerk” hypocrites to complaining that they only play with people they deem are likeminded. which is the opposite of this hypocrisy. Then you made up an imagined scenario that I can only imagine is a “play how you want” wet dream of “metazerk” lying on the ground. Then you went on to get really salty and curse out “metazerk” players. The ironic hypocrisy on this entire post.

Not a wet dream when you saw it happening in fractal 50.

Not only did you make up an imaginary wet dream scenario of zerkers dying, but you also made up imaginary fractal tactics. Good job. You’re a credit to your people.

I know exactly what you mean. However, try not to get mad at the speedrunners – they’ve been doing that content that way for years now, so I suspect that it’s not that they’re consciously speedrunning at this point, but that they simply don’t understand that it can be done in other ways.

I had a similar issue a few nights ago, taking a friend who’s new to the game through a CoE run. Joined up, explained we had some newbies in the group, everything was good. We got to the control panel and golems bit, and I explained that since we were new, 1-1-1-1-1 would be better than 1-4. Sure enough, we start, and someone starts kicking off that we’re not doing it the meta way. Thing is, it honestly didn’t seem like he was trolling – he genuinely didn’t seem to understand that it could be done another way, and rather than learning it and going with the group, he just left. It’s a kitten shame, really, and I seriously worry that these people won’t be able to enjoy raids simply because there won’t be a meta to follow in them for months after release.

Who’s a good boy? Not you, since you aggro’d the BLOODY CHAMP-

It’s not that we’ve been running the same content for years, it’s that we want the reward for as little effort as possible. The build and groups we run make this possible.

Even running open world PvE solo I’m not playing the content for the content. I’m playing the content for the rewards.

They will proceed as always: they will wait for the DnT guide and then will put LFG for the approved meta raid.
