This is totally our fault, we dropped the ball on this plain and simple. We planned to have this messaged ahead of time to be fair to everyone, communication broke down between those who knew it was supposed to be messaged, and those who were supposed to message it and it simply didn’t happen.

As game director this is ultimately my fault first and foremost, and I’m sorry for those who potentially lost some karma as a result. It is our policy to message these kind of changes ahead of time with lots of warning, I’ll do everything possible to make sure this doesn’t happen in the future.

I’d recommend not using your karma consumables yet, give us a day or two to try and see what options we have available to help mitigate the issue.

What about the option for people that has stack pile of watchwork boxes. What option do we have with the unannounced change. I for one have 1305 unopened box which is equal to about 130.5g +, what optiondo we have.

Comparing karma jugs to 20g/hr is like comparing my toaster to a Ferrari.

20g/h still takes time. Its not even 20g/h if u consider the line for que and the cost of ticket. At the current moment the boxes dont even compensate for the amount for the ticket and the time spent.

instead of giving out different boxes or lower the amount of boxes, they remove the amount of money entirely from the existing boxes u earn b4 the patch. I was at work and don’t get the chance to open them b4 the patch hit. Each box contain 8-12s and gave 1305 in my inv.

Why didn’t you open them in the first place?

They no longer give money

these used to give 10s per bag, but that part was taken out because Anet didn’t intend for the gauntlet to be a farm spot, so now they only give you some sprockets and a few common items.

caz I wanna open them up all at once and besides the boxes takes up less inv space than sprocket.

haha I have to laugh at this one. Why on earth would you save them ? I’d never keep any unopened and never would’ve bought tickets for next session before doing said session just because I’d fear an impending yellow message “new build available etc…” would mean DED nerf. I always opened up them up in between fights or at the end of my session.

If you hoarded them expecting the 8s-11s to be increased from a future patch than you just gambled and lost.

Everyone knew it was too good to last. Never be too greedy.
