Restoration of Orr[[spoilers maybe?]]
Assuming Tyria and Earth are about the same size, and this globe of Tyria is accurate, then Orr is as big as France and Spain combined. That’s a big area full of corrupted magic. You might say Zhaitan is already dead, so the corruption should be gone as well, but that magical energy has to go somewhere. I mean, take for example Abaddon. When he died, he left behind tremendous amounts of magical energy. When Glint died, her shattered body left behind crystals of power. When the Bloodstone wkittentered into pieces, there still remains magical energy within. Magic can neither be destroyed or created, it’s part of reality, that’s like saying we need to erase the world or we need to create a new piece of the world. That conjured rock of yours btw, came from the world’s aether and your own combined, you’re not actually adding any magical energy to world, you’re just transforming it. It can however be transformed (eg. dragons “eating” magic) and transported (naturally it flows through the Mists and through the world as the leylines). If we can find a way to reverse what the dragons did to Orr, maybe we can hasten the cleansing (ie. the Pale Tree’s magic), but I think She alone can’t do it, and there’s a danger She herself can become overwhelmed, so it’s a slow, painful task. And now Mordremoth has arisen, and the Pale Tree weakened. I don’t think Orr will be cleansed any time soon.
Plus the champ trains would be upset
It would be nice to see a restored version as the rubble looks like it was formerly impressive. Maybe a slow series of inroads from Maguuma vs all-at-once like LA (after them hammering on bridges for most of a year).
What I would be upset about is losing the temple assaults though. Something else would have to take their place. I also would be REALLY upset if they took away the T6 nodes … spitting fur upset.
This was actually an animated and exciting discussion among my guild last night. An alternate idea that a guild mate presented was a fractal that brought us to Orr before the cataclysm or a shard where the cataclysm never happened/happening presently. An interesting thought. I’d prefer to see the culmination of the restoration for the sake of continuity, something as part of Living World/Story, but to see Orr in its hey day is also an idea worth consideration.

That would actually be good, Temple events are basically broken since the Megaserver system is in place. When was the last time you were able to do an attack on the High Priest in front of Arah?
I don’t like removing content, even if it gets replaced with new content. I also don’t like new players not being able to do content that other players have experienced.
However, I do like the idea of seeing the effects of Trahearne’s and the pact’s work. The only way I can see that happening is if we get to play in a part of Orr that was unplayable before, such as the area near Scavenger’s Causeway, which would then show a cleansed or partially cleansed Orr.

He ever spawns there now? I always get the giant and maybe the floating eye.
…Magic can neither be destroyed or created…
Just thought I’d add in a little something interesting here. In the Asura storyline, as you’re meeting the Order mentors (for the first time I believe), you’re meant to have watched an Asura give a presentation, saying he could prove that the Elder Dragons are actually consuming the world’s magic, and that given enough time, the magic supply would actually dry out.
But, tragically, he was murdered before he could give the presentation.
So long Treeface.
“…Kormir? I know not of whom you speak.”

We actually know he’s wrong because dragons leak back magic while sleeping and also seem to leak back magic when killed.

He’s not actually. He only seems to be killed. He later finds employment with the pact.
