when dying in a personal story instance you get the option to retry from last checkpoint, But the instance dosnt reset since what youve done from last checkpoint. is this due to technical issues or gameplay decision?.

in my experienced this makes the instances too easy and dying means too little. i would love to have an actual checkpoint system and if you died youd have to start over from last checkpoint. would mean you couldnt just zerk everything down and die and then continue zerking the rest down. youd have to play smart build diffrently to survive.

I think it is a bit of both.
Save the state of the instance and reload it after a death isn’t that easy.
But I think the main reason is that the devs want the game to be easy, specially in the “story modes”, there most players just want to know the story and doesn’t really care about the challenge.

Charter Vanguard [CV] – HoD
Bardy Belzebuson – Ranger Sir Belzebu – Herald
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)

If you want to make it harder, just leave the instance if you die and start over. I don’t like dying, no matter what the penalty the game imposes on me is.
