Guild Wars 2

Dear Anet.

I know that we can be in 5 guilds, I know that guilds can have up to 500 people.

But what about those people that don’t want to be in a huge guild. Or even those that are in a huge guild that have 2 – 3 or even 10 guilds

Could we have a return of Guild Alliances like we had is Guild Wars 1. The option to have shared Guild Chat between different guilds would be awesome. Sharing Guild Hall resources.

Letting small guild’s help each other do Guild Missions and coordinate them through alliance chat.

Small guilds could definitely use some love in this game. So far, almost all guild benefits are geared toward large guilds. I also assume that achieving a guild hall in HoT will be something only a very large guild could afford to do.

I’m tempted to make a Guild Alliance temporarily via the forums…… Anyone interested in working together to unlock missions and do bounty trainings?

I think this would be great for the small guilds, considering the higher tier missions can be pretty hard to do. I hope they will talk about the future of guilds and the guild halls soon.

It would allow small guilds to work together and help eachother by repping eachother and earning influence. It would also mean that small guilds could specialise earlier on- e.g. one guild in the alliance would be WvW focused, another PvP focused, the other focused on PvE/Dungeons/Guild Missions.

I really liked my guild and alliance in GW1- it felt like a big supportive family. It was also pretty awesome because there was a bit of competition between the guilds too

That is a fantastic idea.

I’m in a large guild but I agree to this idea, I would love a large lively guild alliance chat and be able to speak to the other 5 guilds

Im for this 100%.This would make this game lot more social then it is now.I think we are getting it,Colin said on Pax announcement that they are working on something of that description.

Well, personally I have a solo guild that is pretty well developped and generally has everything but the guild missions unlocked (which I’m actually working on). This has of course been a long term goal, however most of it has been solo and sometimes duo. So, saying that this doesn’t have small guilds in mind and only large guilds is pretty false. In fact, I’d say it only has small guilds in mind for the most part. Heck, most of the bigger things only require about 6 players (puzzles and such).

In fact, large guilds have virtually nothing to do with the ridiculous surplus they have. Maybe guild halls would be something that targets the larger guilds, but at the moment there’s really nothing exclusively for large guilds.

I’m betting Guild Halls will be definitely large guild only, due to the costs.

If this is the case this also would be sad and not fun.

I hope that they will bring in Guild Alliances.

I have started to work on in-game Guild Alliances.

I voted for it in the CDI. Wasn’t it the top suggestion?

Being able to chat with all the guilds you’re in without having to switch rep is a good feature, but it isn’t a substitute for alliances. They should do this too.

yep guild alliances in gw1 is how my small guild (same members today ~5-10) were able to always have someone else to talk/run missions/pvp with, without ever losing our small nit guild id

Put very simply, this is a good starting point.

Yes, i want to be able to advertise a dungeon run without having to stand down and represent all 5 of my guilds. Having other guilds all in the same ally would be great.

So I know we have 5 guild chats now. But Guild Alliances would still be appreciated I believe.
