I took a break from the game for awhile, and came back during the big patch (pure happenstance). My favorite playstyle, conditions, are finally viable and fun, but the sigils I’d like to pop on (Malice/Bursting) are both extremely expensive since the recipes are no longer available.

Are there any plans (or methods I’m not aware of) to pickup these recipes to craft for ourselves?

I obviously can’t say for certain, but I would expect them to become available next time the Crown Pavilion is opened up, whenever that happens to be. It’s been opened twice now, and there is no reason to suspect it wont open again.

Actually, suriel can be seen running trough lion’s arch “Training” for the upcoming reopening of CP. And there’s also another champion in LA that I don’t remember the name right meow.

One could think that this is a tease for a reopening of CP at upcoming gw2 anniversary eh?

Oddly enough, getting hold of the recipes probably wont help you. I believe all the jubilee recipes required clockwork sprockets – the true source of the insane cost.

Farm enough clockwork sprockets to craft one of those recipes, sell them, and you’ll probably be several gold pieces off purchasing your sigils straight off the market.

only recipe id really like to see back is the chaos of lyssa recipe… cause with the price for the recipe alone you almost could buy a precursor already :\

Watchwork Mining Pick, Crown Pavilion and home instance Sprocket Generator can all be used to farm sprockets.

The pick will no doubt become available again, the generator can be purchased with laurels, and the pavilion will need to be open to purchase from pavilion mechants any way.

Ah, I thought it had only been run the one time (never saw anything about a second). This gives me hope, so thanks!

One can only hope; already getting a ton of b’day gifts during that from original toons, so this coming back would be a true event to behold!

I’ve been getting a fair amount of sprockets already from my pick (invested some gems from the HoT Ultimate) so that might end up being what I do… that or finding someone with the recipes sweet enough to turn them into sigils for me!

Just to clear up some misinformation here.

Those recipes were only available during the first opening of the pavillion from the emmisaries during the Queens jubilee. When the pavillion came back last year during the festival of the 4 winds, those emmisaries were gone (because it wasnt the queens jubilee).

Queen Jennah celebrated 10 years of her reign over DR in August 2013, the festival of the 4 winds was already in may 2014. The Queen didnt mark her 11th year as reign in aug 2014, so i doubt she will mark her 12th year this august with all the plants going bananas all over tyria either.

During the Festival, the Emmisaries, which used sprockets as a newly introduced currency for their goods and recipes, were substituted by the festival reward vendors, which used favors as newly introduced currency to barter their goods.
But they didnt have those recipes from the emmisaries in stock.

Apart from that, as already mentioned, those sigils are so expensive because they are epensive to craft, you wont be able to craft them for much cheaper than their lowest bid, maybe you save 50-100s.

And I expect the recipes to make a return between now and HoT or with HoT.

Thanks for the clarifications; I’ll just start trying to save up for them then! In the meantime, anything in particular give you that feeling?

My thief has got the recipe for Sigil of Malice and I created him in december 2013 – 4 months after the Queen’s jubilee.
I’m going to research where he got it from.

Edit: Must’ve gotten it from Scarlet’s Stash

No, Scarlets secret stash was only available during clockwork chaos.
But as those recipes were account bound, you maybe bought the recipe during the jubilee, stored it and then used it on your thief 4 months later.

Not sure, if you mean saving up for the recipes or the buying the sigils on tp.
Anyways, why I think some limited rewards will come back, i talked about here:

I didn’t but I have been around when the marionette event happened where one had access to scarlets stash =)

Edit: I’m really sure I’ve gotten that recipe later than Queens Jubilee as back then I had only one character who got all the recipes I found. Doing that doesn’t make sense, I know but he learned 3 crafts back then which also didn’t make any sense and he’s got every recipe I ever got. I didn’t buy anything as I didn’t know there was a vendor. (I started to play during Queen’s Jubilee).
