So I’m sure most of you on this forum are pretty tired of reading about people speculating and wanting events to come back (super adventure box is just one example), well…this is another one of those posts. (Sorry)

Anyways, I looked at the history of living world releases and noticed that on the 20th of May last year, the Festival of the Four Winds was returned to us.

Personally I absolutely loved the Crown Pavilion arena that came with it (my favourite out of everything actually) and I have been hoping and praying that we might just see the return of it while we wait for the next few months for the expansion.

I assume that this is probably not going to happen but I love to be naive and hope that it just might.

So my questions are as follows:
1) What is the chance that we will get to see Crown Pavilion again?
2) Is it actually that difficult to include it? (isn’t there like something similar to like an on/off switch, i mean the content has already been made)
3) What are the chances that ArenaNet will see this post and be like “hey that’s a great idea!!!”? (I think i know that answer already)

Sorry if i am coming across as ignorant or whatever, just curious and my usual snooping around on the forums has not answered any of my questions.

Okay, not to answer your question directly, but the Festival of the Four Winds, while it included the Crown Pavilion, isn’t what you’re asking about. That is to say, the Pavilion started with the Queen’s Jubilee and it was brought back during the Festival. The Festival actually refers to the other area of the Festival, where we climbed the cliffs and raced as dolyaks and found hidden crystals.

This post isn’t as pedantic as it might first seem. Due to the way the living story has unfolded, it’s not really possible for the Festival of the Four Winds to come back at all. It would break the game’s story.

However, the Pavilion itself could reopen as something separate. I just wanted to point that out.

As for your question, I believe we will see the pavilion again, but no idea when.
Is it difficult to include? It might seem to you that you can just throw a switch and add content, but sometimes these things are not simple. When you have a program this complex, taking something that is not there and adding it back in can cause unexpected problems. It happens quite frrequently, actually. Everything that is put back in has to be carefully tested.

As for Anet seeing this post and thinking wow that’s a great idea, they’ve already seen this post many, many many times and know about it. This post won’t change anything. They either plan to do it, or they don’t.

I would love SAB and Festival AND Pavillion to all come back a month before HoT. I understand how that could be difficult if ANet is working solely on the expansion, however I think we would all greatly appreciate it Maybe they could come back with a new stage of Queen’s Gauntlet? Please? PLEASE?

Yeah i am actually mainly referring to the Crown Pavilion, just found the arena part amazing. If they could open that up it would be great.

Ever thought of the time it took to type an answer and actually upload it from a mobile connection? No? Ok.

Don’t worry about it. It’s fine to ask questions.

A lot of things that are commonly answered fall off the first page or even first three pages in the relevant folder and even the relevant folder isn’t always obvious. I wouldn’t worry about the nattering nabobs of negativity who need to nix the notion of nicely-worded knowledge-seeking. They forget: not everyone reads the forums every day.

For future snooping, you might try the following google format:

(And then restrict the search to the last month or whatever suits the situation.)

We only know that two ships went down, the Masters and the one he crashed in to, there are supposed to be a lot more.

Dragon Bash was supplanted by a combination of Scarlet razing LA and the return of the Bazaar of the Four Winds. With the Zephyrites scattered and recovering and LA on the mend, it might be time for Dragon Bash: Get Those Flying Gypsies Back On Their Feet edition. It’d be a perfect symmetry for the second festival being held with charity being extended to the refugees of LA.

That sounds familiar. Can you help me out with a source? The wiki article on the Zephyrites doesn’t give much detail about airships.

What it does say:

The Zephyrites are …live in a fleet of airships, the largest of them being the Zephyr Sanctum, that roam the skies of Tyria.

…the Zephyr Sanctum was blown up …as they entered …the Maguuma Wastes, leading four of their ships to crash …

“Fleet” is ambiguous: a large nation might consider “4” to be too few, but a small one would probably consider it to an appropriate description.

It wasn’t all of their ships, or necessarily even most of their ships. Pointing out that it was four indicates that it was only a portion, otherwise I feel they would have put it differently.

The wiki is written by other players (not all of whom are careful about details like that) plus that language leaves a lot of room for interpretation. So my question remains: how do we know that those weren’t “all of their ships?” I agree it’s plausible that they had more ships, but I am keeping an open mind about it until we can link an in-game or other official source.
