I buy the game after some months when just came out, I played for a while, my main was a thief and I liked the style of gameplay and pvp. Now, after a long time, I returning interested in the new expansion. Downloaded, installed the game and these are the changes I saw:

1.- Thieves are not as good as they were, in the old days they could kill very fast and have a good survivability. Now my thief is soo deadly that he can die very fast <_<

I was reading it seems this class got lot of nerfs.

2.- PVP:

This had many changes, before was “1 to that point, other to the other point”, now seems “let’s go all 5 and start ride the map”.

I started playing the other classes

Mesmer:

Not the best DPS but I think the clones are good for survivability, al least in low levels I can kill strong mobs. The bad part

-People is saying they were nerf with the last patch
-No place or no the best alternative for dungeon party

Ranger:

The good: pets are useful and is easy to play
The bad:
I think this is a hard class to master for pvp, specially when is about to keep distance of the oponent.
No place or no the best alternative for dungeon party

One class that I was very interested in try was the Necro. Black magic, death skills and the reaper that looks like a death knight. Unfortunately people that have played the beta are saying that reaper is not as good as looks.

Other thing I can’t understand is why people says that this class is easy to play when do so much little damage. And again I read comments that say no one looks for necros in paty for dungeons.

I want ask suggestions and recommendations about what class to play, please or maybe there is no class for me

Additionally in game:

-99% I play solo
-I don’t have guild and I don’t like to make groups (by a good reason)
-I’m a big noob that doesn’t know anything about the after game (items, weapons, sets…)

This is my story….

Honestly it seems your looking for a warrior or guardian. All the classes you listed have there strong points. Dont listen to the wannabe try hards about the meta. They have no idea how to think on there own. Damage wise youll probably be better with warrior or ranger for solo play. Also mesmers have it rough early on while leveling due to your traits being locked till 80. Necros do decent damage for dungeons reaching 100% crit chance in deathshroud if traited which you should.

Thiefs in pvp are still powerful the only reason your having a hard time is because the new condi meta is a hard counter to us. We dont have much condi cleanse as a class besides stealth. Plus players now a days are well aware of many of the different class weaknesses. It will take time but one thing is for sure the most over powered and easy class will always be warrior. PS warrior is always wanted in dungeons/fractals.

Maybe for PvE, but now it looks that in PvP war is not so strong as it was.

And yes, mesmer was nerfed, but still it is a really powefull class in PvP and I am sure when chronomancer comes out, it will also be for PvE.

I am lazy to write it over and over. So sorry for my English.

Eh…? What game are you talking about? Last time I checked the first specialization slot unlocks at level 21 and the last Specialization slot was unlocked at level 71. Without doing any Hero point challanges it may require you to level to level 80 before you can maximize your character.
