Guild Wars 2

Hey everyone,

after not having played for a year Ive finally gotten back on guildwars 2. It seems however that Lion’s Arch is completely in shambles and the players left this city aswell. Im thinking of buying another copy of this game for my gf so we can play it together though having logged on and walked around its seems to quiet on the game, the cities I have been in have been abadonned. But I am thinking it is probably because I am on the wrong server/wrong place/wrong time. So I am wondering if someone could help me out when it comes to the state of the game, what server do I want to be on if I want to be on an american server and find a guild to do lots of PvE with? Or is that kind of a thing in the past? I remember doing guild events with 100+ people and such, I miss that, I would love to do that again, does that still exist?

About PVE all server got merged, choose server if you want to wvw, so you will find a few souls once in a while.

Ah, then where do I want to be (what area are people playing at, I heard a lot of Silverwastes, but that too was empty)? Or does that mean all servers are rather empty PvE wise?

If my memory serves me right, Tarnished Coast is has a huge population of pve ppl and RP players. But I’m not on that server anymore so I’m not very sure

I am on Tarnished Coast and I always see a bunch of people in Divinities Reach and in Lion’s Arch. With the megaservers in place I see people all over every single zone I traverse as well. If you run into an event and you don’t see many people around just type in /map where the event is and you will usually see people just pop up. It’s kind of like magic.

With the expansion coming up there isn’t a much better time to start playing again.

Silverwastes is another kettle of fish. It appears empty until the progress bar rises to a certain percentage. Then the map is suddenly stuffed until Winewrath is defeated. Then the nomads move to yet another copy of the map. Also, the players that do the whole defend cycle are divided between the four forts.
