Returning player Questions.
If you’ve got a character from before April 15th, you might be better off playing it, because unlocking all the traits now is longer, and harder, or costs more in game gold.
It’s not that bad if you’re not an altoholic and they’re supposedly making changes to it soon, but it’s been like that a long time.
Ok, cool.
I am an ALTaholic – 12 or some such 80s. I guess for now I’ll stick to the one char that I had been gearing in ascended when I stopped.
In game for a bit just now and my main does have trait points, but all were reset but available to be respent – whew. Time to study the trait lines as they exist now.
Thanks Vayne (and if that was you helping me in game double thanks!)
What I normally do when I come back to a game after a long time is keep my existing characters/save files but start a new one so I can get a reminder of the basics and/or any changes, then when I feel like I caught up switch back to the old one.

You can add and subtract those trait points for free now out of combat so go nuts also no cost for armor repair after death dubble nuts jumping from high objects nodnod
Danikat – I may just try that route, it seems most sensible. Thanks.
Linken – That’s great news about traits! Now I’m tempted to try out every possible combination, something I was wary of before. Such a seemingly small change with such large game-play possibility repercussions. I would never have guessed it worked that way now, maybe after I use them up it’ll be more obvious. Thanks!
