Guild Wars 2

After a 10-month hiatus, I decided to come back to the game and start doing dailies again so I could complete my ‘Warden’ weapon set on my Sylvari and ended up with a ‘drop’ of karma rather than the jugs we used to get.

I’ve read they’ve nerfed the daily rewards, but how the hell do you amass enough karma these days to get anything worthwhile?

LOL! Well, that was a very short return. I’ll head back to SWTOR then.

There’s no way I’m living in this game, which is what I’ll have to do to get what I wanted. I’ll be back when the developers come to their senses.

Play the game. Do events. Don’t expect to get the shiny as fast.

snort “Play the game” is apparently blasphemy for most people. They just want to log in, spend 30 min or less on the daily, and have everything else handed to them on a [silver] platter. Apparently I’m doing something wrong…

Loved Swtor, refuse to play do to the one time password deal. As soon as they put that in. I canceled my sub. If they ever did away with it – I would go back.

grind? really? I haven’t grinded for my karma, and I have gained 200k (probably more then that now I tend not to look at it often) since they nerfed it. Hell right now I am getting closer to 3m karma.

Is that so?
Tell us what you’ve been doing to get to that level.

Keep in mind that the game didn’t even launch with jugs of karma…Its back to how it was at launch + a bit of extra karma.

idk about him, but karma from WvW events is a very good source.

Scarlet Invasions are another.

If you REALLY want to farm karma, get to FotM level 19 and then farm odd levels 1-9. You’ll get 12k karma per run.

Champ farming is another way of gaining karma…though you can get the same from dungeons.

63k Karma is, in my opinion, not a significant time investment, especially if you play PvE anyways. It’s not “work” by any means…

I do everything he has said, and I run around with my characters just doing events cause I want to. Scarlet is a great source but i do that for fun cause i like fighting massive zergs. Play for fun and not worry money and karma will come.

I also left the game for 10 months and recently returned. When I logged back in after that hiatus the system gave me all sorts of items right off the bat one of which was a humongous amount of karma. Didn’t you get that?

That’s nonsense. I leveled a new character in the last three or four weeks to 80 (a thief), did all the hearts in the zones I went to, did some of the events, spent a little karma on items, did the Teq event about 7 times. I do the daily about half the time and I have not done even one dungeon. When I hit 80 I had just over 250k of karma and was able to buy all six exotic armour pieces all in one go (from one of the temples in Orr [when it wasn’t contested which sometimes seems like all the time]). Like I said above, I also have recently come back to the game after 10 months away. I only play a few hours during the work week because I have a job but on the weekends I did play a lot.
