same as at release wvw spvp pve=world bosses, dungeons, fractals (3 mini dungeons 1 end boss fractal) if you havent done world completion its good to do since you get 1 of the items needed for legendarys. oh and you should get crafts to 500 if u want to do the 40 fractals for ascended armor/weapons that can be infused with agony resist gems

You can also find someone who got the living story s2 unlocked and join them to see it or unlock them yourself for 200 gems each a total of 1600

Complete your story line and do the living story quest you have access to.

From there its your preference.

Dungeons and Fractals are PvE end game along with the new areas Dry Top and Silverwastes.
Dungeons you can grind gold for gear/legendary materials -
In Silverwastes you can grind for the new armor skins
Fractals are more for a bit more experienced groups.

Crafting gives you access to the higher tiers of fractals through ascended gear

PvP reward tracks give you access to gear and materials for legendaries too

WvW less structured open world pvp

It’s really what you enjoy doing. Try everything and stick with it longer than “die once and quit” before you decide you don’t like it

You’re dumb. You’ll die, and you’ll leave a dumb corpse.

I had a shaman build warrior for support and buffing with banners and the war horn, it seems now form what I read that’s a worthless spec and should do something else?

I see people playing this build in the game today. What makes you feel it’s no longer effective?

There’s a lot of things to do at 80.

Dungeons & Fractals
WvW, EotM, & SPvP
Temple Events
Dry Top & Silverwastes
Collections & Achievements
Personal Story & Living Story
Tequatl & Triple Wurm

If you want to do the latest content, then go to Silverwastes (i recommend doing the living story season 2 first though). That’s where most people are currently. You can get the new Carapace & Luminescent gear from there. Here’s a guide to get you started on how to get the gear. http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/2t21at/complete_bioluminescence_collection_guide_the/

Support/Heel warrior can be beastly when done right and its fun watching people get confused by the insane healing ticks it can provide. I say as long as you’re having fun play how you want.

Because regen and vigor are relatively useless in most of PvE where the vast majority of damage can be avoided by positioning?

Agreed, and to add…

People, most people, have enough gear to zerk down bosses without any buffs and whatnot from a ‘shaman warrior’.

This has been a core issue to your combat gameplay. Theres absolutely no need to go support in PVE because either a) mobs die too quickly, b) there are one shot abilities that take you down to half health or kill you so whats a little heal going to do in the face of that? c) people don’t stack enough to receive some of the benefits of these buffs and combo fields…

When you begin to pay attention to this and encourage actual teamplay rather than zerk and avoid bad floor, then these builds become viable.

Karma is as abundant as air, and as useless as the Kardashians.

To be fair, I can imagine one scenario where traited wh is useful: Mai Trin at levels 41+. Then again, it’s only the trait, full zerk gear is far better anyway.

If you want to play warrior support in PvE, play a phalanx build with zerker armor; decent damage, almost 100% infight uptime for 25 stacks of might for the whole group.
For defensive support you always want a guardian.

edit: two scenarios. mai trin and imbued shaman at 41+.

Whatever you do, dont make alts unless you like spending days of grinding (or tons of gold) on buying traits that used to be free.

Shaman comes with condition damage.
Condition damage is useless.

If he wants healing power, he should get Cleric or Zealot.

I wouldn’t say it is worthless because that particular build has a use in PvP. I think it would be better to say that on the build scale from clerics to berserkers (lowest dps but max support to highest dps to lowest support) Shaman gear in tandem with any trait distribution falls short of providing the necessary group buffs such as Might, Fury and Vuln.

Edit: I use the word support loosely as the other side of the spectrum relative to dps

You run cele on that spec in PvP not Shamans….but it’s effective in PvP b/c Vigor and Regen are massively important in PvP (where most damage cannot be avoided by positioning b/c of conquest points, most damage comes in a steady stream of direct + condi damage rather than one-shot direct damage skills so HoT is very useful, and players being far more intelligent than AI)
