Guild Wars 2

So it’s been about 6 months since I’ve played and just recently come back part time. Where is everyone? I go to SW and it’s dead. I go to DS and it’s dead. I go to that new Fire Isle map and it’s dead. Did a million people just suddenly leave or something? I don’t see hardly anything in the LFG except for the Labyrinth.

you answered your own question I think. people are playing the halloween content while it’s still around (Labyrinth). you can play in SW etc any time, you can only play the halloween stuff now, so people tend to switch what they play when it’s around (from what I’ve seen anyways)

Yep, they’re in the Labyrinth. If you try joining any of those groups you’ll find most of them are full and most of the others have about 10+ players each.

The two main reasons for this are that the Halloween content is only available for a short time (potentially ending tomorrow, or on the 8th, I’ve heard both and I’m not sure which is right) and because the Labyrinth is currently one of the most profitable areas in the game, especially since this year they removed DR.

Even a ‘casual’ player like me can make 10g in just over an hour simply by collecting and selling Trick-or-Treat bags and other drops. People who use farming builds, have worked out the perfect route, know when to sell each type of item etc. can make even more.

Once it’s over things will be back to normal. Although there are still people doing things like Fractals, Raids and Guild missions now, it’s mainly the ‘farming maps’ which have been temporarily abandoned.
