I am curious what other think about this theory.

I notice some of the new HoT staff skins are re-tailored to look melee oriented to fit the new Revenant class’s melee staff theme.

But Wouldnt it made more sense to simply allow them to use Spears on land, since spears already have a melee theme to the skins as is?

Would this be evidence that we never going to get land spears added to the game?
Maybe for technical reasons perhaps?

Maybe not never, but not in the near future

I don’t think we’ll get the same spear weapon that’s an aquatic weapon right now, on land. They could make a similar weapon, but using the same one wouldn’t really work, as they would have to make trident and harpoon gun land weapons too at some point i think. And trident is essentially a staff, and harpoon gun is a rifle.
I would love a spear-like weapon on land though, something like a lance perhaps? But i also love the concept of revenant’s martial staff. It would be strange though with some staff skins…. imagine pounding the enemy’s head with Kasmeer’s staff :P (especially with a big-kitten dark armored charr)

No, it just means you are seeing “HoT staff skins re-tailored” at the moment.

Negatives were never impossible to prove, just the fringe cases can get nigh impossible.

Seeing as how a Asura greatsword can be almost as kittenome Charr dagger, yeah I can see that.

well fighting with a melee staff and a spear is not exactly the same type of combat
