Revamp the Karma System.
most people i know have a problem with too little karma, not too much and having no where to spend it. most people with excess karma are old players who have it saved up from back in the day. we need more ways to earn karma, then this would be ok. Right now, we need less ways to spend karma not more
Right now the only thing worth buying with karma is Obsidian shards and Ascended recipie.

My effective Karma has stagnated for a while now so they seem to have found a balance.
That said, it would be nice if there were more effective ways to spend Karma directly, instead of having to go through the mystic forge or other convoluted measures to get something useful out of it.
Personally I’d like to see Karma become a universal currency for just about anything. T6 mats, various crafting ingredients and anything else that can otherwise be hard to come by. This would give Karma a sort-of economic balancing purpose.

Yeah that is true they have balanced the karma. But karma is still a worthless currency system they need to revamp .
Can you give an example what old players like me should do. I have 6 million karma and a stack of obsidian shards in the bank. The orrian boxes dont give much gold and im not feeling like spending everything for a few t6 material.
And im not intrested of getting the alchohol 5 ap thing. Im not intrested in buying rare items eighter when i have better.
Sure i can buy some ascended recipes but that is nothing if i spend 100k karma on some reciepes. I could buy a Exotic armor to one of my alts, but that is just 250k aswell.
I want something i can spend on. If im spending my karma now im feeling like im throwing at away at something i dont actually want. And i think most of the old players with alot of karma feels like that. And that must change. But if it do they must do a way to get a little more karma so the new players have the chance to buy those things aswell.

Yeah that would be an idea aswell. But that would make some problems to they have to solve. One problem with this is that you dont need to kill the bosses anymore and there will be lesser and lesser people at each boss in time. Which is already a problem.
They should NOT have nerfed karma. They should have given us more things to purchase with it. Nerfing seems like the lazy way.
There’s an untold amount of things they could do with this currency….

They can’t balance around people who were grandfathered into the new system, that would be a bad decision. They need to balance karma based on all the people who didn’t play during the first 6 months, which seems like most of the players. Karma gains seem to be fairly well balanced around ascended and legendary items cost right now. The only people who find karma worthless are the ones who had millions and millions of it before the change.
If there are to be some new karma sinks, i think it’d be nicer if they added some expensive cool stuff like titles, glows, fun items like the halo and watchwork transformation potion that people could save up for. Maybe even a karma dye.
Also if they add things like fishing or housing which are sometimes talked about, they could sell some stuff for those for karma.
A legendary made entirely out of karma could also be cool, like an amulet or something. It isn’t that bad to have legendaries made in different ways.
Selling stuff like t6 mats or the like is a stupid idea in my books, as all it would serve for is transforming karma into gold, which you can already do. Black Lion keys are also unrealistic since that’s what the game makes it’s money from lol.
I’m not sure if that’s how it supposed to be but I get like 200 karma for a successful event when a full set of temple armour costs more than 250.000 karma. Right now I have around 120.000 with doing all the events I come across and never spending a single point of karma.
It’s hilarious that I managed to get enough gold to purchase a full set of exotic gear (and one of the most expensive ones at that) decked out with runes but I’m not even halfway to getting the same thing with karma. Isn’t gold supposed to be the hardest to obtain currency while karma and dungeon tokens are there to provide a cheaper alternative?
Some fun karma stuff would be nice – i have 2,3 mln and nothing to spend at
Maybe things to benefit alts would be a good idea for karma, or just fun pointless things that are not sold on the gemstore. Dunno really but I’m sitting on 4 mil now and I spent a load on 2 stacks of obby shards a few months back.
Ps if you have probs getting karma run with the zerg in WvW for a bit, it comes pretty fast there, all those little sentry takeovers, towers, dolyaks etc etc.
Since when did this business of being a hero become being a business?
Having more ways to earn and spend karma isn’t going to be unfair for either new or old players, just saying.
