First: Rework Story Mode

- Reworking the current story mode of the dungeons to be solo story content (or parties, just like Personal Story) this will allow players to get that little bit more of the story in between the Personal Story, and help flesh out the overarching story between the members of destiny’s edge.

Second: Rework Explorable Dungeon Paths

Cut the explorable dungeons, rework them as fractals that change depending on which tier of fractal it is, or the fractal level (3 paths, change them per encounter)

Perhaps instead of just throwing them into the current mix of fractals (which are much shorter) they could have their own separate progression track as their own set of fractals, rewarding their respective tokens, and allowing them to be directly accessed from the Fractal hubs rather than game world traveling.

I think this could work, but it would all depend on much time Anet has to dedicate to a team, considering they just took a tiny team and made raids, and a fractal team is doing excellent work as well…I think it would be done

i agree with you on this and like the idea fully . but i will say this much if they do make darn sure they do it in such a way . that no one can hug a wall at all . and if they do hug a wall they get kicked out or just die . force and make the player get into the game and fight back in the dungeon . and not just run up to a wall hug the wall kill the boss and get rewarded for wall hugging . like if they hug the wall have some big hands grab them and squeeze them to their deaths or fall into a pit and die off

no new system upgrades coming

Reworking dungeons would be a lot harder than starting from scratch, which is what fractals are.

This idea about making explorable dungeons into fractals is really bad. Really really bad. There is not much left of the dungeon community from pre-HoT, but there are still people who like playing gw2 with the mechanics of blasting might and stealth, burst dps, and running dungeons that exist out in the zones rather than entering the fractal gate and playing disconnected content with instabilities. Basically the kind of ideas put forward in Nike from DnT’s video about why dungeon gold nerf makes players bad.

I don’t have any metrics to give as evidence, but from my experiences pre-HoT to now, I think that it may have been a mistake for anet to stop with dungeons in the first place. I’m not sure how the decision to not include dungeons at all in the expansion affected their sales or the amount of players who left the game afterwards, but my dungeon guild mostly quit the game and my long list of friends are mostly inactive all of whom were active players and dungeon runners. If anything I think you could argue that not including any dungeons was a mistake and that more players preferred dungeons to fractals all along and it helped players become better at their class. Not sure if anet feels the same way with how things played out post release of HoT, but if it was a mistake then its another mistake not to correct it.
