Rise of the old loot
I’m not really interested in the Toxic gear, but something new that can be earned without too much ‘grind’ would be nice.
Given the direction in the recent LS episode, I’d like to see some halloween themed aerial abilities in non-BF maps during the halloween period- even if they’re just cosmetic. Like a costume brawl in the sky.
Pumpkin bomber? Candy corn machine gun? Maybe a tonic that turns you into an actual large bat?
some new armor skins would be nice – I’m guessing we’ll just be getting another costume though, in which case I would like to suggest this gem from GW1:
Would be nice to actually earn an item or set during the Halloween period via some kind of quest, reward track or simply through playing the game and collecting various things.
I am sickened at the thought of another reward locked behind insane RNG aka Gwynefyrdd a couple years prior. That was painful.
I am expecting the typical Grenth’s Hood and other gem store cosmetic items to re-appear… I would like to see Candy Corn use another sink somehow. Also Trick-or-Treat bags to be updated with components required to craft X item. The usual business locked behind RNG… oh well.
What would be super pleasing is being able to acquire the Mad Memoires back piece again. I never got to experience that Halloween event. Also Lunatic Inquisition was pretty amusing.
I’d like to see the Mad Memories ‘quest’ come back. I did most of it the first year, but my main character was only level 30 so I couldn’t survive the higher level maps to get the final parts on my own. My guild offered to run me through it and I stupidly told them it’s ok, I’ll do it next year…
It would also be nice to have a Halloween event I don’t spend grinding for a rare/expensive item. 2013 it was the mini Bloody Prince Thorn, which cost 20 candy corn cobs at the time (I didn’t get it during Halloween, had to wait until the next year when the price dropped to 6 Cobs). In 2014 it was grinding Trick-or-Treat bags for a mini Gwynefyrdd, which I also didn’t get. Then 2015 was grinding 100,000 candy corn to buy the mini Gwynefyrdd. I did get it and it’s still one of my favourite minis, but I can’t say I enjoyed the process.
I understand in-game rewards are preferable to the gem store, and some people like in-game things to be rare and/or expensive so they can feel special if they get them. But I’d much rather have something everyone can obtain simply by participating in the events.
