Rundown HoM? Is this it?
No, it’s not to show off your GW1 stuff, that’s what the GW1 Hall of Monuments was for. All it is now is a receptacle for your rare pets and item skins.

When I visit my hall of monument, it’s rundown. Weren’t we suppose to see GW1 stuff here?
Its run down yes, do you actually have stuff in it? like have u done gw 1 requirements? and if so did you talk to the historian in the back room?

It’s really empty. I have 50/50, talked to everyone both in GW1 and GW2, and it’s still empty. I don’t think it’s a bug though. However I do hope it eventually gets filled in some update.

It’s been 250 years. Time has torn it apart.
It wasn’t meant to show any of your achievements from GW1. It was just a place to go to collect your “heirlooms” from GW1.
So no, it’s not a bug. It’s meant to look like that.

You’re not the op, but he does have 35/50 and if it’s empty and it should have stuff in it, then I would call that a bug
43/50 Points
The building itself is pretty run down, I see ranger pets running around that I have tamed on my Norn Ranger, there are a few ghosts I cant speak with and if I run all the way to the back where the Eye is (where all the statues & stuff are in GW) There’s a ghost I speak with to get my HOM skins.
This is what I see when I go to my HOM in GW2. I hope the info helps.
Oh you mean the statues, armor sets, etc! yeah I wondered why weren’t the remains of the statues/tapestries there.
I figured when they left for Ebonhawke (Gwen’s tomb is there) they took everything and is probably in some library.
Forgive the stupid question OP, but you did link your GW1 & GW2 accounts, right?
I assume you’re expecting to see the statues and tapestries in there? The eye of the north was abandoned shortly after the events of GW1. Your stuff has been looted. Only the dead remain.
I have linked my GW1 account with my GW2 account and I have 35 points in the HoM like someone kindly said. I have access to pets like the White Raven, Jellyfish and Black Moa. I also have access to skins which I unlocked from GW1. I was however expecting to see statues from GW1 HoM like armour, weapons and achievements. If this stuff was never ment to be here in GW2 then that’s fine. I am not saying this is a bug.
If you have access to the pets and all of the skins+minipets that you have unlocked, then everything is working properly. As others have said, the HoM was abandoned between EotN and GW2 and has fallen apart/been looted.
Let’s find the looters then! I want my GW1 statues back.
I thought I read somewhere that the HOM was partial destroyed by Kralkatorrik. Or maybe it was Primordius when he awoke. But that is part of the reason the HOM is such bad shape. (That and 250yrs have past.)
the state of the hall of monuments is pretty much in line with the state of your legend.
There might be a few scraps here and there, but for the most part history has forgotten old “whats his name? that guy that was always in the way when we were trying to see mhenlo”.
It fits well lore wise. Whoever you contracted to look after your legacy after you died laughed all the way to the bank.
Thanks for clearing this up and for the warning, I guess.
Then this is whole HoM thing is much less awesome than I thought.
Come on, a state of the art Asuran gate in what is basically a glorified shed?
Makes no kittening sense at all.
actually, it makes a lot of sense. The ravages of time, war/catastrophe and a feudal culture glorifying nobility, of cause posterity barely cares about our heroic exploits in GW1 while Rurik has plazas named in his honour
