Q:

Has this run set changed? I remember that it used to turn you into an invulnerable ghost for 3 secs, or was that a different rune set? Thanks.

It has changed but that rune is a waste. Life steal in this game is pretty weak. I’ve tried multiple upon multiple different builds on the one class that has as its core life steal, necro, and as of yet every build is very very weak.
If life steal were changed to take more life like maybe 50 at a time instead of the base 36 (depending on skill used) then life steal would be useful. So just raise the life steal about 10-15% more than what it is and it would be useful.

You are confusing the Vampiric trait with the life steal mechanic. For example the base lifesteal damage from the #2, #4, and Sigil of Leeching is 975. Leeching bolts have a base 198 damage/170 healing.
