Runes/Sigils need a rework now
I thought about this the other day, and I agree. I would LOVE to have my superior infiltration rune set have the additional bonus of +25% movement – perhaps these new runes could be obtained via the mystic forge by combining components similar to something like this below?
Recipe: Superior rune of the Assassin:
Superior rune of infiltration
Superior rune of speed
5 ectoplasm
20 Philosopher’s Stone
Superior rune of the Assassin:
(1): +2% damage against foes with less than 50% health.
(2): +35 Precision
(3): +4% damage against foes with less than 50% health.
(4): +65 Precision
(5): +6% damage against targets with less than 50% health.
(6): +25% Movement Speed, When struck below 20% health, cloak for 4 seconds. (Cooldown: 60s)
These new runes and such could be ascended versions, and only provide 1 or 2 extra bonuses for quality of life (such as movement speed).
Edit: There could also be entirely new sets like OP suggests, to make up for the loss of the condition duration and boon duration trait lines that were ultimately taken away with the traits rework. I miss my fear based necro making the most out of his fear duration :-(
Also, are Anet ever going to give legendary weapons a Giver’s stats option? Kind of annoyed it’s still not an option and only their exotic versions are available (not to mention the Giver’s weapons give condition duration, but the armor gives boon duration → #makes no sense).

I did not suggest to add new runes to the game, I just think that the runes with + condition/boon duration should be reworked.
Like, when a set of 6 runes gives +15% duration now it should be upgraded to +30% or so.
Problem is: Not every rune increases duration of conditions/boons.
With the old system you probably had enough duration increase from your traits and could choose a rune set with other advantages.
Now you’re perhaps forced to take a specific set of runes just for the duration even if you would rather prefer another.

I’d rather they roll it into baseline, since the current base line doesn’t seem to take into account that most classes paired certain weapons with trait lines used to give duration bonuses.

Well, I like the idea of having options for full-support when it comes to gearing.
