I play a full-size, fat charr and did all of the tribulation levels 16 times.

Some of these zones took me 30-60 minutes each run in World 2.

I’m not a (storm) wizard, but an aura I can purchase on the AH for little to no effort shouldn’t outshine something that took days of playing, timing and fighting glitchy coding (I’m looking at you W2Z2..) to get.

Hopefully the red/blue auras get a rework, intensity and size because on my fat charr… they’re barely visible to anyone.

Literally, I had a guildmate not notice I even had the auras active..

@ 1:20:00 you can see the auras overlapping and this is the only angle they actually can be seen in on a Charr.

Don’t worry, ANet have made it so you can get these auras for gold and little to no effort too.

So that’s a fix, right?

That announcement actually made me quite upset.

There should be no method in which Tribulation can be handed to a player with no effort. That defeats the exact purpose of the mode…

Oh don’t worry, I was being sarcastic. I’m stunned ANet have managed to devalue one of the only sets/auras in the game that had any prestige with a single forum post.

My point was that the aura being hard to see is a problem, but the aura itself is no longer a prestige item anyway.

I just got my W1 chest last night, I don’t plan on getting the W2 sadly, because I just hate W2 too much to even attempt Trib mode on that. But if this is true it really saddens me as I was planning on using this on my big charr and it would be the only aura I have

Just looked at the video.

They devalued the skins and auras that people wanted to work towards so badly that everyone (your not the first one I’ve seen that’s linked videos on Reddit and here) is now resorting to posting and keeping YouTube videos of all of their Tribulation world completions as proof of not resorting to buying them.

Not that I blame you for trying to salvage what you worked hard for…

Congrats on learning and running Tribulation!

gg ArenaNet.

I actually streamed the entire event! I did all 16×6 levels via stream.

The video are my best timed runs; even though I’m a fat charr and not great at jumping. ;_;

So? All chars have the same size in SAB. Being a charr or a norn doesnt make it harder.

If you’re so bad at SAB you could have just bought the infusion. Tons of ppl are selling tribulation runs on LFG.

All chars are made the same RELATIVE size. Charrs are still huge, and due to their posture and movement animations (loping on all fours) it is actually harder to do any JP on a Charr. It is not so hard as to be significantly more difficult, but it is worth noting. His point was that even though he had something of a disadvantage, he didn’t “just buy it”, as you suggest.

Personally, I agree with the OP’s point; I worked hard for these, not working hard for these is a BUG that they are going to FIX, and I think it should be a little more noticeable. Even on not-Charr, half the time the particles barely show up past the character model. More+bigger particles.

Considering the time investment I definitely think they should be buffed a bit visually. All the effort seems comparable to that snowy shoulder item from the Wintersday festival, and in that case it was just a straight grind or pay up thing without much skill/practice involved.

JPs being harder on Charr is true for normal JPs, but in SAB every char gets downscaled to asura size.

Yeah I really hope they get buffed, I earned both legit (the prestige disintegrated with the exploit though..), and my friend could hardly see them lol, I can hardly notice them unless I’m standing still.

I was playing with the SAB Box of tricks or whatever and one of them gave me some sort of pixelly aura, I wish the SAB auras were more noticeable like that one..

Which changes nothing about their standing and moving animations. But you’re too stuck on your idea that it’s “not harder because the sizes are the same” to care, aren’t you?

Also here’s a fun fact for you: The model size is the only thing that changes in SAB. Outside of SAB, all races and genders have the same exact hitbox size, for balance reasons. This includes collision with things like platforms and roofs, which is why sometimes Charr and Norn heads go through ceilings, and sometimes Asura can’t fit through holes they’re smaller than. Charr do not have it harder due to mechanics, it’s all the ability to see accurately where your character is going to land, which Charr ANIMATIONS make harder IN ADDITION to their size.

+1 to the auras getting a boost. These things take a really long time to get, and you have to go through a lot of ..ahem.. tribulation to get them. The auras should at the very least be visible.

You need to use an Infusion Extractor to extract the aura infusion.
