SAB - where and how
It’s in Rata Sum. There’s a gold star on the map showing where in Rata Sum.
if you still have the in-game mail with the free continue coins, you can click the Show Me button. it will show you exactly where it is.
if not. go to Rata Sum, Magustan Court wp (the one closest to the LA portal), and look for the big blue box thing.

Thank you, there were people tho told me in game. My point is that the info should be on the page.
Anyway, kudos to the people who like this. Myself, if I would have wanted to play Minecraft, I would play Minecraft, not GW2. The whole thing looks worse than Runescape did when it started. I tried. I really really tried. I hate that kind of graphics. And the rewards are horribly ugly too.
Going back to HoT.
I was on a hiatus when it was first released so I tried it yesterday for the first time. I didn’t like it either, it felt like a huge jumping puzzle. Also, the weird graphics gave me motion sickness, everything looked the same, I felt like I was running in circles and got nauseous after a few minutes, I had to leave. It’s not my cup of tea but I’m glad many people are happy now, enjoy your SAB!

Actually, playing SAB made me a better jumper. As you cannot drop dead (and pay for wp’s), I just kept on trying new ways to get across. I see it as a huge JP sandbox :p

Maybe its a generational thing but a lot of people seem to be clueless about SAB. It shares very little with minecraft aside from immediate outward appearance.
Consider it a history lesson in gaming and you’ll get more out of it.
The Warrior turns to the guardian and says, “Did you hear something?”
Guardian replies, “No, but how’d the elementalist die?”

That’s kind of the point… The entirety of SAB is a tribute to the days of 8bit graphics video games, most of which involved platforming like Mario Brothers or Sonic the Hedgehog, or keys, treasure chests, secret rooms and bosses like The Legend of Zelda.
I thought even gen Y and millenials had an appreciation for the origens of video games. Apparently not all of them.

Oh my gosh, that sounds horrible! XD

Actually I’m a baby boomer, so I lived those times. Things in the past are better left where they belong – in the past. I never appreciated all those memes of “if you know what a cassette player is share this”. If I want to go on the nostalgia path (which I don’t) there’s always archive.org. The first Prince of Persia or Monkey Island might have their charm but for maybe 5 minutes after which I’m “ok enough of this kitten”.
Probably it’s exactly the opposite of what you stated and actually the millennials and generation Y are the ones who appreciate it.

If you were there, and part of that crowd, how in the name of the Six did you compare it to minecraft?
It has nothing to do with minecraft. Anyway, it’s mindbogglying popular, so if you don’t like it, just don’t play it.

You gotta realize this was, like, the original GW2 April foolsday gag. When it debuted, it even had a 80s/90s style videogame commercial starring Rytlock Brimstone and was all live-action. It was meant to be funny but it’s also quite entertaining because of all the little homages to older games.
It’s not suppose to be an alternate game mode for GW2, it’s just an entertaining distraction from the core game. Not sure what you were trying to get out of it…
