Q:
[SUGGEST]Toggle day/night cycle on weapons
Or you could reskin Eternity with Dawn since you like that skin better.

Isn’t dawn the precursor?

Obviously, they mean sunrise. ‘3’
Yup I did. I always get those two precursors and legendaries mixed up.
I also wouldn’t mind this, especially for the Ascalonian weapons as the blue glow effect isn’t always desirable.

Ironically I had bought this for my guard once cause Liked the blue, only for me to get intoa day time area and it becoming all grey lol xD
Create a weapon with a day/night cycle… whine about the day night cycle!
this playerbase though.

I like the day/night cycle, it’s a neat concept. I was just bringing this up because the game is mostly in night time, and some major areas such as heart of the mists are always night so I don’t get to enjoy the day skin very often.
Actually the game is mostly daytime.

So I made the Eternity, love this weapon skin and it’s improved particle effects over Sunrise. The day time skin matches my character very well, but because the game mostly takes place at night (in most dungeons, heart of the mists, etc.) I’m almost always stuck with the night skin.
I like the idea of the day/night cycle, but it would be cool if we could toggle that on/off so we could keep the day skin on a weapon if we really like it better.
Don’t you have both Twilight and Sunrise skins as well? Just toggle the skins through the wardrobe system.

Sunsrise has simply not the extra effects from Eternity. For one there is the glowing
orb on the hilt, and then there is especially this nice fire aura.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
I’m against this idea. The uniqueness of Eternity comes in part from its association with the day/night cycle; remove that and you have sunrise (or twilight), with a few tweaks.

If you could switch between always day, always night and current state, you would not really be losing anything. Or is there some reason why you feel like other people keeping their weapons always in one state would negatively impact you?
I like the hilt of twilight so I won’t even go for eternity anyway. I don’t like how it uses sunrises hilt and doesn’t have any choice.

it doesn’t negatively impact anyone obviously but changing this would take development resources away from areas that legitimately need fixes… and we all know there’s a hell of a lot of them.
There’s also the fact that you chose to acquire a weapon with a day/night cycle. Maybe next time you won’t get something you apprently don’t like? You knew exactly what you were getting when you got eternity and now you’re unsatisfied with it? well too bad for you. You were not misled and there’s no surprise here. Take your eternity and go home.
Theres certain day night weapons that are just buggy as hell that I would rather they fix than add a toggle. The ascalonian weapons are horribly buggy. Some of them get the ghostly effect ontop of turning blue when sheathed, some don’t, some of them don’t glow until you auto attack or use some other ability etc.
