Q:

((This is an idea me and my friend have been cookin’ up for the past 2 days, we thought it’d be quite cute and childish, as well as ridiculous enough for an April Fools theme.

The original idea involved the player characters to be turned into children forme, Charrs would be cubs, Humans and Norns would be children, Asura would be progeny, Sylvari would be flower saplings. That part is a stretch, but it’s what gave birth to this idea.

I also wanted private instances to look like giant pillow forts and the wild animals or enemy NPCs to turn into toys, but that’d be a BIGGER stretch))

Armor
Light – bathrobes + slippers
Medium – normal pajamas + socks
Heavy – onesy pajamas

The prints on the jammies are all random textures, if the user logs off and on, the print will randomize to something else, people can play “twins” and try to find players with the exact same texture/print.

underwater everyone is covered in soap foam and wears scuba goggles

Weapons

foam toys – staff, sword, daggers, spear (pool noodle)
nerf guns – pistol, rifle, long/short bow (COULD be sucker arrows), torpedo gun (water-gun)
pillows – axe, heavy hammer, mace, shield, great sword
appliances – torch (torchlight), focus (book), wand (glow stick/night light), warhorn (kazoo/vuvuzela)

ranger pets – toy version/teddy of their pet or imaginary friend mode, underwater they turn into rubber duckies

Animations

foam toys

-Weapon Swing (user bravely attacks their foes with their mighty foam-made weapon, that’ll show ’em!)
-CHARGE! (user takes a brave stance on something and roars their troops onwards to battle!)
-Proud Ruler (user points their weapon at the sky bravely, the fort has been claimed)

nerf guns

-Shoot’em up! (user takes aim and shoots their foe with a deadly shower of foam made bullets/arrows)
-I’m a secret agent! (user becomes as stealthy as that cool secret agent movie fellow, they sing the cool theme too)
-Hands up (user throws their hands up in the air and surrender to their captor)
-Freeze! (user points their weapon at the target, and firmly tell them to put their hands up)

pillows

-Heavy swing (user swimgs their soft weapon, landing a basic, yet deadly blow on their foes, hope you’re not allergic to feathers)
-Fluffle up (user punches their weapon to make it fluffier and softer, still pretty hard when it hits)
-Hugging time (user feels a bit insecure and hugs their trusty weapon, so soft)
-Nap time (user feels tired and decides to take a short nap by laying on their very soft weapon, sweet dreams)

appliances

torch

-Lights up! (user thinks it’s too dark in here, they light up the area with their weapon to scare off the monsters)
-Scary tale time (user rounds up their friends and lights the torch under their face to tell a very scary tale)
-Shadow play (user tells a story by playing with their hands in front of the light)

focus

-I’m trying to read! (user angrily grunts at everyone around them and shoves their nose into the book)
-Tale time (user rounds up all their friends to tell an amazing story)

wand

-I’m a wizard! (user swings their amazing magical wand in the air to do cool magic tricks)
-It’s too dark (user brings their magical glowy weapon closer to them, why did it have to be so dark at night?)

warhorn

-Fun times all around (user plays an annoying, did I say annoying? I meant AWESOME, CATCHY tune, to get this party started!)
-Prank’em! (user sneaks behind a friend and toots their weapon so loud it scares them right out of their jammies)

A childhood themed event and no mention of the bogey man that lives under your bed….?

I’m sure they already have things figured out for this April. But interesting ideas.

mhehehe yeah, well, wouldn’t it make a bit more sense if the bogey man were the DRAGONS IN THE SKY?

Yeah, we assumed that much, we still wanted to throw the idea out there

Not really, at least not the sky part. The monster under the bed is a crucial part of childhood tradition. There has to be a bed; that’s essential. The type of monster under it is a little more flexible – although a dragon probably won’t fit.

This would be incredibly fun and cute, I’d love that! But it would require a lot of work and, what’s worse, some people might not like someone changing the way their carefully crafted characters look like.

But still, this would be very awesome! I’d love to see little kids in bath-robes running around killing the Mouth of Mordremoth

I just hope it is more like year before last (able to log on and off to disable) instead of like last year where it couldn’t be turned off.

Not meaning to whine but it was so annoying I actually quit playing until after it was gone. I know a lot of folks enjoy it so that’s why I suggest the on off ability.
