so it’s not a big of a problem as it used to be but it’s still there. i thought of something that might cull it. so the thing is that rangers afk in front of red fortress and their pets attack enemies, it counts toward credit for defending and they get loot. and when the player dies, the npcs outside and sometimes other players rez the afk ranger. so it seems that pets also count toward avoiding the “kick due to inactivity” also. my suggestion is changing that so that players have to actually press a button to not get kicked and that pets dont count toward “activity”

I’m pretty sure pets do not count as activity. If you see anyone who has been in the same place for more than an hour or two, you could report them for botting.

After that, just leave the situation up to ANet. They’ll make the call whether the player is intentionally AFKing for profit or just away for normal reasons.

Report them for botting. Anet has stated before that rangers using pets to farm events in such a fashion IS an actionable offense, and reporting those people does get them sorted out.

Ok I’ll report them then. They have been there actually for 3 days.
