there is a scam going around that you get the portal stones from bandit chest some people using the chat code for the portal to get the new comers to the silver waste to use their shovels in hopes of getting a beta portal this is a lie the portal stones was taken out of the game and do not drop any more … what they are after are the use of your shovels and the free loot you do not repeat DO NOT get the portal stones any more even when they was dropping you got them from event and mob drops so please beware of these scammers

I’d say it’s more of a troll or lie than a scam. If it’s a scam then the person getting scammed usually gets nothing as a result. Shovels only purpose is to uncover chests so they’re performing the very same activity that they would have had they were going to use the shovels. In other words, all this is doing is getting those players hoarding shovels to participate in the chest farm.

Do I think that lying on the LFG about portals dropping still is wrong? Yes.

I consider more “scamming” all of the alt+f4 and lies (LEGENDARY UP AT @links a wp that is in another map to which a potential distracted player might teleport to free a spot to the "scammer"’s friend in a full map) than that.

If I uncover a chest and it has something good how was I scammed?
