No wonder there’s no one, this game is dying… Even on Desolation, the biggest server, there are fewer people nowadays.

Depends on the map and time of day tbh. If you play on a NA server and from another country in hours that are not Primetime USA you will def notice it. I do as I play from New Zealand and usually hours after America goes to sleep. I just roll with it and enjoy the peace and quiet tbh.

I just meant that that’s what used to happen to me all the time. Almost kill a champ then they’d toddle off back to the starting position while they’d regen health. Pain in the bum it was.

Why people continue to think this is beyond me….this boss has never been a draw, ever. Please see this from NCSoft’s earning report filed the beginning of this year:

To the OP, I am really sorry you got that close, it is sad indeed though me thinks there was a bit of anger as well.

Ya the game is not dying, its just that some zone are deserted because there is nothing to do there that is worth it. People scream for more maps, i would prefer to fill up the map that already exist with more content. But that only me.

Choking champ solo’s sucks, I think the most painful one for me was at 5% of risen covington’s health due to a lag spike. I spent so much time on him, and consider him tougher than lupy so that was rough, but I got him later you can definitely get this one if you try again.

I know that feel bro, it happened to me a few times (with different champs). All my sympathy to you.

Not sure what desolation you are on, but I see plenty of people on desolation EU.
Just because some zones are abandoned doesn’t mean they aren’t there.

People said WoW was dying 10 years ago.

Not sure why you think because their earnings are up that it means the population is fine, this isn’t a subscription game, it just means more people are buying gems for money from them, plus the usual box sales which at this point which isn’t going to be much.

When you look at the actual zones on the servers you can see activity is down. Whether or not more people are hiding in other instance parts of the game(fractals, spvp) who knows, leveling areas are empty though, and numbers are down on many servers for wvw.

Please look up big words before you use them.

There is a reason that it’s the only measurable metric released from Anet. The only other thing I saw was number of players at peak-time, which I remember being right around launch.

I am not arguing for or against the decline of GW2, I am only stating that using sales to show the game isn’t ‘dead’ doesn’t mean much.

Not much of a pvper but I always enjoyed seeing this. I miss the Mad King.
