How long does it take you to fix this? I’ve read posts on forum where they say they transmuted their legendary and then it appears with ORANGE writing, in my case it would be Twilight in ORANGE.

It feels pretty kittenty to equip a legendary weapon when you walk around and have you’r DPS spec on and knowing you do 15% less dmg..

Can we get an official response to this?

As we all know “ANET” does not have the “POWER” to reverse or put items into your inventory. I call this BS, I know this would been alot of work for you guys and I respect you don’t want to deal with it but atleast tell the truth. OFC you can access any account and do whatever you want, but you don’t have the recourses. I get that.

So please, a official DO NOT or You can do it would been great….

why you go and transmute your legendary?

don’t you know both items are destroyed in the process and a 3rd one is produced?

Maybe he hates the skin. I sure do on many os them. Especially the bow.

Pandeh: If you transmute a legendary, it’s name will show up as purple in your inventory and if you link the item into chat. The name will also appear purple in the vendor screen. The only thing that is different is the icon shown in the vendor screen. However, it will still appear with the transmuted icon when you link it in chat.

Also, the stats on legendaries are the same as on exotics. You shouldn’t suffer any sort of DPS penalty for transmuting your legendary. Additionally, unless Soldier’s stats are what you need or you’re super concerned about having the transmuted item’s icon showing up incorrectly in the private vendor screen that only you can see, there’s no reason not to go ahead and transmute it.

Hope that was helpful.

Edit: To clarify, transmuted legendary items used to show up with orange names, but this has been fixed and is no longer the case.

Transmute it to a CoF weapon. They never show up in vendor!

You get a legendary solely for its skin. You can transmute it wherever even on a friggin level 1 weapon and let your level 1 Lion Arch character use it. Its purely aesthetic. Don’t worry bout not programmatically being the best in slot (since it is the intrinsic nomenclature/item stat that is shown as the item by vendors) when transmuted because you will one way or the other will get the BiS item with the nomenclature that you really want, transmute it to your legendary skin and still be the BiS legendary.

Mmmm, well is it possible to transumute it to a low level GS, stick it in the bank, and then use a diff. character to pull it from bank and transmute it again to the specs you’d want for your other toon to use?

I’ve transmuted 4 Legendaries to Berserker stats so far. All 4 are still purple, do not show up on vendors, and have “Transmuted” instead of “Legendary”, but apart from that, no difference.

I just answered my own question by doing it…phew. So, yes, you can transmute a legendary to a low level wep, stick it in the bank, and then use a diff. character to pull it from bank and transmute it again to the specs you’d want for your other toon to use.
In my case, sunrise, from gaurd to mes.

If you are going to transmute onto a Weapon I suggest transmuting onto a Dungeon Weapon, to avoid accidental selling.
