I am curious what others think. After getting the 10 globs of dark matter needed for 1 ascended weapon is it better to sell exotics until it is made to make so gold and then salvage again for a new weapon or just continue to salvage exotics and have extra globs? I am leaning towards selling exotics after getting the 10 and repeating as needed for future weapons.

I would say it depends on the value of the exotic. For example, I got a level 80 scepter yesterday that was worth less than a gold, about 75 silver. So I salvaged it even though I have no immediate plans to make ascended weapons. You might decide a cutoff value point. Anything below, salvage. Above, sale.

Anything above 1.9g i sell. That takes into account the lowest buyable exotic weapon and the cost to sell your extoic.

Typically I’ll salvage anything worth ~1g. A lot of the time I’ll get an inscription worth 3-5g so in the end it’s totally worth it.

Of course this only applies to the last week. I’ve gotten more exotics from drops and chests in the last week than I have in the entire year previously.

Is anet still claiming mf doesn’t affect chest drops?
