Why is this not possbile?? What is the grand reason for this? Why do I have to buy item that’s worth 30+g in order to get my sigils/runes and infusions out of the ascended gear I have? Just why? What is the reason of this nonsence????

I agree, it’s crap but it’s by design.

But what’s the idea over it, everything has its reasons?

I’m guessing it would ONLY make sense to allow it to generate some Ascended materials and they didn’t want another source other than crafting?

To be honest, they simply need to allow you to toss 4 Ascended gear into the forge for the chance of a different piece of Ascended (or maybe some slightly better chance of a precursor or Ascended chest?). Maybe some “named” Ascended items with new skins?

U dont understand. Imagine u put a rune of str with its current price in a armor that u found around a world event with crappy stats. U want to change that with better stats or you decide to switch build, u need another rune because u cant get the old one out. The item they hav in gem store costs 3x the rune, what is this stupidity???

What about ascended rings that are drops from FOTM? You know – those rings that most of us have entire banks full of. And no use for.

If you want a rune, buy an extractor (but most runes are cheaper than the extractor it terms of gold).
