I do not see how it is possible, barring some crazy movement hacks, to obtain a time anywhere near a minute. The course is so long, I do not see how anyone can even get near a 2 minute time let alone a ONE minute time.

If you have anything even sub 2 minutes, post a video here please.

Why is this a thing? It doesn’t even show the correct locked dialogue. Don’t lock me arbitrarily out of content because a clock says so. Especially for content like this that requires refinement for hours on end. I don’t want to have a forced break.

I do think it is possible to reach the bronze reward.
Yesterday i got 2:09 while making tons of mistakes along the way, however was kicked out shortly after.
It should however be noted, that at that time, it said my ranking was nr. 3 under life time, which i assume is world ranking.

Though to get silver or gold, it must either be bugged or there is some super cool trick i haven’t seen

Something is extremely wrong with Sanctum Scramble, I would guess that the times needed are bugged.

Even getting bronze is a lot harder than most gold medals in other adventures.

Best time I got after about 2 hours of tries and research was 2:04 … 4 seconds of bronze …

I got 2:00 flat a bit earlier twice, can’t see how it’s even possible to get it down to 1:00..

Probably something like this. I couldn’t find the screenshot, but if that is actually the time, they probably found a way to climb other parts of the map to make it directly to the finish line, and that may be all that’s necessary to register for the leaderboard. That or it’s just straight up map hacking, but judging by what I’ve been able to pull off in Sanctum Sprint, the former sounds pretty viable.

I’d like to test this out myself, but I’m not dropping another $50 on an expansion to compete on a minigames leaderboard that should already have been implemented at release for activities.

Are you certain that it works that way, or does it merely look that way? The only way you’d be able to test such a thing to know for sure is to find a checkpoint on the course that can be skipped in getting up to the finish line, and then seeing if your ending score makes the leaderboard or if the event finishes.

It’s not obvious where you can skip parts of the course in Sanctum Sprint either, but shortcuts still exist – big ones, in fact.

I tried it earlier yeah. I deliberately skipped the first one, and until you pass through it the other 10 wont count. Once you reach the end it doesn’t actually “end” – you have to go back and go through the checkpoints. I’m not however sure if you simply need a certain number of checkpoints before you’re capable of completion.

Practice. I am horrible at jumping puzzle like stuff but managed to get gold in around 6 hours of practice.

I don’t have a video of my best run which is 1:57. Been competing with a guildie who’s currently in front of me at 1:55. I’ll record a run when I get off work but I can consistently get sub 2 min. It just takes A LOT of practice and pushing the limit.

Its not completely impossible to get gold it is a tight time to make but it is possible if you played sanctum sprint activity a lot you’ll know you can link the skills together to get farther, like using the jump(wind) skill and then dash(sun) skill to do a long jump you can glide and use the dash skill to dash across the air you can cancel dash after a small distance if you need to. you can also use the ground targeted pull (lightning) skill and in mid jump glide then dash etc you’d be surprised when you get use to the skill combo’s how much ground you can cover or where you can make shortcuts.
For example there’s a part i think it was after the 2nd gate your meant to drop to a ledge to the left and lower then at the end of the ledge go up some steps behind some bushes you can glide dash towards those steps through the bushes and land on the steps instead of going down to the ledge.

The wind, sun and lightning pull skills are the names of the skills in sanctum sprint activity and are exactly the same skills just without the wings animation on them.

Took me about 2 hours to get silver. Watch the YouTube videos and try to remember how they are linking their skills together at different parts to go as fast as possible. For silver you don’t have to do it exactly like that but for gold most likely you have to be close to always being 100% efficient.

i got gold with iirc 10 secs to spare after a couple hours.

the trick is to 3 to a spot way above you, then 2 to the next checkpoint. in general. after getting the hang of that, you simply need to keep at it until you dont screw up.

Ask few mesmers to make portals for you. Ez gold

You can’t take portals when you’re doing an adventure. Tried it once thinking that’s how the top score being 20 something seconds was reached. No option to take portal pops up.

They must have disabled em or idk.. one guy finished it in 13 seconds around launch so..

More than likely they used a teleport hack. Anet never removes banned people from leaderboards
