Here is a thought that struck me while talking to my guild:
The ability to SAVE and LOAD preset specs, skills, armors, and weapons.

To run down my thoughts:

I have a specific skill set for soloing, for PvE/Metas, and Running. I have to make the necessary changes on my skill bar to do so. Why not just click on my preset?

I mentioned a spec to a guildie and they needed to change a whole set of armor and weapons for that spec, why not just save the previous set with a preset?

Don’t know if this is a dumb idea or a very useful one. Thoughts? Suggestions?

This has been suggested for years and years. Every week or two this post comes up. And I welcome every single post like this one. I keep hoping if these keep appearing over and over the devs will get tired of seeing them and finally implement build saving.

The last time the devs commented (which was… ages ago), they said something along the lines of… they’d like it, too, but just weren’t sure how to implement it.

Clearly, it’s a lot of work to load weapons & armor with the right stats and upgrades, without an huge change to the current method of gearing up. So I get why that’s not yet in the game.

However, how much work would it be simply to save a snap shot of skills and traits? Even if we couldn’t load it, it might be helpful to see a picture of what we used yesterday and compare it to what we have now.

In other words, I feel that ANet has been unable to deliver the practical because they are too busy trying to work out the optimum solution. There’s a lot they could do now.
