So many people care about the Moa’s but what about the dire plight of Armadillos, Rabbits, Rats and Owls that get slaughtered by Necromancers all over Tyria? They are a staple life force source to the Necromancer community. Shouldn’t this activity be somehow regulated?

I appreciate the humorous intent, but please don’t invoke their name where they might hear about it. They are notorious for using exactly this kind of provocation as a cause to launch their absurd self-promotion initiatives. As a “charity”, they do practically nothing with their funds other than advertise for more funds… and murder 85% of the animals delivered to the shelters they operate. Even mentioning them in jest gives them credibility they do not deserve.

The Moa was a real bird, now extinct, indigenous to New Zealand.
They were the only true wingless birds, not even having vestigial wings that all over flightless birds have.
In reality they ranged from 3-4 feet tall, right up to around 12 feet tall and weighing over 500 pounds……they were huge, ive stood beside the reconstructed skeletons.
Their only true predator was the Haasts eagle, the largest of the true raptors….then man arrived in New Zealand in the form of the indigenous Maori peoples in 1300….the Moa was all but extinct by around 1400…with the loss of the Moa, the Haasts eagle also went extinct.
There have been many “sightings” of Moa in modern NZ, but none that have ever been proven….the Moa is like our “bigfoot”….reported sightings pop up now and then but are generally treated as a bit of a joke.
I already knew about the Moa, it is part of history classes here, i used the wiki for bullet points rather than me prattle on about it.
My cities museum has a nice collection of reconstructed Moa skeletons.
