I am not sure if anyone has heard the news. Someone has opened fire inside a Connecticut elementary school. At least 27 dead, 18 of them children.

As the father of a young girl, and a friend of someone who died at Virginia Tech in a similar tragedy, I ask you to please say a prayer. I figure, even though we are a gaming community, that we are all still human beings.

This stupid brutality of humans vs humans, especially innocent children, saddens me to tears and annoys me to the utmost. Thanks for letting us know-my prayers/warmest wishes to all of those who had their beautiful children taken away in this horrible tragedy.

While terrible and a tragedy, I’m not sure what this has to do with General GW2 talk..

Hard to focus on anything else besides the news… I just looked at the guys twitter page… Seems like he was alone, depressed and just needed a friend… I know this might be silly but we all can use a friend

We don’t say this enough to each other and I don’t know anyone here but anyone reading this… I love you all, every one… Best of luck to you, don’t forget the people who love you and don’t forget to tell them that…

I can’t imagine the cowardice to do something like this to defenseless people in the first place, much less defenseless children.

My heart goes out to those affected by this.

This really isn’t the place to discuss such a tragedy.

This is a terrible tragedy, beyond words really. Praying for the families.

This is so senseless. The son of one of the teachers did this? Again no warning or and no tells?

How can you let this kind of hate fester to the point a person does this and not notice the differences. And an elementary school to boot, what a coward. Not religious myself but prayers and support to these families in this horrible time.

I live in sandy hook. I went to school with the shooter and am pretty upset that someone I went to school with could so something like this. Thank you for the topic your prayers are appreciated

Right, because pencils write essays, spoons make people fat, etc. Banning guns would be as effective as banning drugs – it wouldn’t be effective. Outlaws don’t obey the law – all banning guns would do is ensue their targets would be unarmed.
