those are stolen accounts probably using bots selling emails to ppl in range

Your account name is standing left of your post.

No one knows your Account Name, save you and ArenaNet. Your Display Name, however, is …well,…displayed on the forums and in-game on any roster or list. Bots, etc. can easily get your Display Name just by targeting you, adding you to Friend’s list, etc.

As with all actions against the ToS, just report and block. Good luck.

I mean, even all limitations by the system aside (like the warning not being sent from the company right below the message), but “Robert B. Boblaw”…. even the scammers seem to poke fun at the average IQ and gullibility.

Everyone should note that Anet has added a message to the bottom of all non-Anet game mail that says that the mail is not from Anet. If the message was actually from a GM that message would not be there.
