Scamming is ok now?
You won’t get your gold back, as Anet stated they don’t get involved in player to player transactions. The most that will happen is the person that scammed you might get suspended or banned.
ANet cannot and will not give you your gold back, but they will action the offending player providing that you can provide proof, such as your screenshots. That’s all that will happen. In the future you should be more careful with who you trust with your gold.
Although, your ‘guildie’ may have his account actioned, you will not get your Gold back. Any player-to-player trading, loans, gifts, etc. are not covered (and frowned upon exactly because of scams) by the CS Team.
Sorry for your loss, but it is a lesson better learned in-game than out.
Unfortunately Anet has the internal policy not to get involved in guild politics, which you could consider this to be… Although depending on how support views it his account may or may not be punished for it. However Anet’s long standing policy is that the only secure method of trading is through the TP so they generally don’t look fondly on these kinds of cases.
Sidenote if you’re trying to hide the person’s name (which you should be) make sure you black out the part that says who you whispered last. (On the last 2 pictures)

Anything you give away/loan you should be ready to lose
Indeed, you should remove or edit your attachments, as it is against forum rules to ‘Name and Shame’.
Just because he happens to be in your guild, means he’s trustworthy? ….lol…can i be in your guild please?)
It’s your own fault for trusting a random dude on the internet that happens to have the same tag as u.
The only person i ever gave a loan too and it was for 100g is someone who i have actively played with and have been friends with since the freekin BETA. As for the rest i was more then happy to give tips on how to make more gold..but nothing more.
Sry but this is 90% your fault.
So basically i have to suffer losing all my gold to this ‘person’ ( i would call him somthing else) on being deceived and lied to and he probably will just get a slap on the wrist to not do it again? Tell me why i should continue to play right now.

Well, it seems you need to keep playing to earn some of that gold back. Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

How is it anet’s fault that you agreed to give him that much gold? It’s in their terms that non TP-based transactions are NOT advised and that players participate them at their own risk. I do sympathize with you, but you can hardly blame anet for this.

Yes i did a stupid mistake and i don’t even know why i helped this person. I seen it done the other day actually maybe that’s why i went ahead with it. I guess i felt being helpful that day and forgot for a second yes this is the internet and people don’t give a crap, If this was another game everything would of been sorted out already (guess what game)
At this point red flags …
… should have gone off right away when he was claiming to get you 330g for the small price of 300g.
Honestly this scam is as common as a cold. And if you think getting scamed out of 530g is bad, your mind would have been blown if you ever played EVE Online.
You’re SOL in this situation. Live and learn and move on.
Peace.

This is correct, but CS does not require screenshots in 99.99% of cases. With the time, timezone, date, and game world — plus the name of at least one character involved — the team can investigate. Please continue to discuss with Customer Support — this is not a matter that can be reviewed with accuracy from a forum post.
