Scarlet is the Best Villain
I had to log in quick just to comment on this. I’ve heard this theory a few times, and I couldn’t feel more different.I have zero moti ation to fight scarlet AT ALL. other villians aregenuinely despicable. There is a difference between hating a villian and just not wanting to deal with the villian. Scarlet is the latter.
I don’t know if we’ve all been trolled, be everyone reading this thread certainly has…
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

Scarlet just makes me feel meh, after reading the journals and they’re trying to salvage her by saying she’s controlled makes me even more apathetic to her and her plight. She’s not worth saving and has no redeemable qualities what so ever. The fact she’s a bumbling moron would make me worry she’d screw everything up and the Dragons (Wherever they are.) would run rampant.
I kind of wish they would make a more original bad guy, one who isn’t crazy, has a bad past etc, bad parents yadda yadda. There is too much of that, I’d like to see a villain who can be considered a hero or a villain depending whom you talk to. Look at Ghengis Khan, some consider him a legendary hero and others consider him a genocidal maniac. That’s the kind of villain I want. One who’s motive is based on personal need and what they consider necessary, one who works on cold logic. An example would be two factions keep fighting each other, no peace in sight.. solution, destroy them both. That sort of logic and leadership.
Make people question themselves on if the villain’s judgement is sound or flawed.
Because Heath Ledger’s not around to salvage the roll. Scarlet’s not the villain we need. She’s the villain we deserve for not spending more in the gem store. This is a direct example of pay to win.. and this does NOT feel like winning.
Seriously, I just hope Mordenrath or whoever her master is supposed to be is worth all of this fun to get to. I can’t give up now. I need closure…
They had to SPAWN MORE OVERFLOWS!
I dunno – the Catalyst in ME3 could give her a run for her money…

Where was I when this vote was held? After reading this one sentence your entire post was written off. Sure you dont like Scarlet, we get it but for you to then say that the rest of us hate her…. that I hate her?!
Scarlet, just like many of the characters in GW2, are great in themselves but are let down twofold by the disjointed way in which the Living Story is released and the pressure from the ‘hardcore minority’ to provide repeatable content worthy of their time rather than a well structured, in depth story.
I personally love that Scarlet has, for so long, seemed like a maniac with a huge amount of power in the mold of Heath Ledger’s Joker. Now things are changing and we’re slowly finding out there is a master plan and it probably involves an Elder Dragon. Its taken a long time (maybe longer than it should have) but im looking forward to the next few patches.

I can see that a lot of people in the forum hate her, but I – you can hate me for that ;-) – like her. I think she is a fun enemy and I like her craziness. And also, most people in my guild also think she is kinda cool

I actually liked the ending. Remember, regardless of whether is a TV-show, a movie or a video game, its a sci-fi first. Even bad sci-fi is actually still kinda good sci-fi. Besides, they could have just ended it at the final clutch point and rolled credits… and it would have still been a pretty good sci-fi, just a whole lot more ironic.
Different strokes I guess..

Oh, no, that would require some quality. Instead, she’s just plain bad.
Remember, remember, 15th of November

I wasn’t an ending hater as such – in fact I found it quite emotional at the time, even though it made little sense.
I do think starchild is tied with scarlet in this though.
Scarlet is either an illusion or a puppet being controlled by the real villain. She is a mere distraction to keep us busy while that evil character or entity looks for something underground (as that new asura character stated). If i had to take a guess he/she/it is looking for primordus.
