Ok, so this article didn’t really give anything new. However the following quote makes me worried that Scarlet may return. Please no!

“While Scarlet may be out of the picture for now, in her final moments she made it clear that the heroes of Tyria need to prepare for a new master”

Team Rocket destroyed Pokemon for me. Can they die already? Why does every episode have to be about Team Rocket trying to steal Pokemon.

Please let Scarlet RIP. I dont’ want every episode of living story about how Scarlet escaped again.

I don’t believe Scarlet escaped. It seemed pretty final that we did kill her. The phrasing here supports that “in her final moments,” but that doesn’t mean that we know everything either. There could be points later in the story where we discover things she’s done or things she set in motion while she was still alive. Thus the ‘out of the picture for now.’

I don’t think we will be seeing any more scarlet. That would just be… dumb. I do, however, think we will be seeing the Molten Alliance, Aetherblades, and maybe even the Toxic alliance some more. IIRC, they all had reasons for joining up beyond ‘scarlet told us so,’ and they will probably continue operations independantly in the future.

I expect her to return. Maybe not in Season 2, but by Season 3 I expect everyone to know she’s coming back.

Unless the ones responsible for her get shifted to other duties or fired, she’ll be back. She’s too much of a Mary Sue to not come back. Hades, she might even come back as a hero this time, and show Trahearne the proper way to steal the spotlight.

This is were we get to find out all the little things that would explain it all. You know that part where Braham tells Scarlet to shutup we don’t want to hear why she did it all. The part where I wanted to slap him in the face and break his other leg.

Now Living Story season 2 will be us chasing her ghost. Oh yes she is dead. but we are not just gonna get to leave it that way. Besides who would know better her Master than its 1st follower.

I hope Scarlet is dead once and for all, but what they did say about that she is ‘gone for now’ slightly worries me. The reason that this bothers me is that it reinforces something that scarlet said when you trying to stomp her with Kasmeer. When you were about to stomp her she said “I’m already on the other side of the Eternal Alchemy!” What she is saying almost suggests that her spirit or something could still exist within the Eternal Alchemy. Even with that evidence I still don’t think she will be returning in the future.

Battle on the Breachmaker part2? if she returns I hope she is a ally and we don’t have to fight her again not unless she get under control again and we have to fight her again

In the Guild Wars universe, you have necromancy, time travel, alternate dimensions, unknown magic. The perfect setting for Anet to bring back whoever they want and make up whatever needs to be made up if they feel the need to explain it (but they are probably going to go with “it’s a mystery” just like so much things in this game).

She’s dead dead. The reason it says “for now” is not because she’s going to be coming back (unless she’s corrupted), but because she woke up an Elder Dragon. The full repercussions of those events have not yet come to pass.

Back in undead?

Let’s do that in 6 years. That way we’ll have a total of 6 undead formerly slain enemies coming back “destiny’s edge” style. 6 of them vs …. oh, groups are only 5.

I hope she’s dead, good God can’t they just leave this alone? Scarlet’s done, she wasn’t a great character anyways. Move on. It’s not like she was a Lex Luther or whatever.

All the maps we fougIht her on have interesting scars from the battles but I think Anet is over hyping things players didn’t like instead of giving us new things. Also where is dragon bash?

Honestly, I think it just means she’s out of the picture in that the full consequences of her actions have not come into effect yet (i.e. Mordremoth hasn’t fully awakened or conspicuously attacked the denizens of Tyria yet).

I could be wrong though. There very well could be an undead Scarlet riding atop Mordremoth in season 2. Get excited everyone! =D

I think that quote probably refers to that you’ll find out why she did what she did in season 2. We never fully understood her actions…

…well, at least I hope we didn’t. She saw a dragon, it went boo and she went nuts just doesn;t sound like a good plot device to me.

once you cut through all the hype, the scarlet saga isn’t so bad.. believe me, around the time of ‘origin of madness’ i was scouting out areas looking for little clues of what was promised to be a very captivating reveal.. and then we all found out, ‘oh, crazy is as crazy does.. mmo life is like a box of unlikely alliances, you never know when you’re going to get an Extra dragon’   ..anyway, scarlet was a dragon champion, she waged an incoherent war against the tyrian continent..
whether you enjoyed the scarlet saga or not, is mostly personal preference.. i’ve been on this game long enough that i’m open to any storyline at this point and Implementation will hold the most significance.. some past installments were hit and miss as far as i was concerned, i only glanced through tower of nightmares.. i do remember going into a clue and puzzle room where there was an experimental spore pod that you couldn’t get open with normal tools.. this was just part of the puzzles and antitoxin, but scarlet would experiment, build, and mutate things in a very wishy-washy manner..
it is what it is, but what popped into my mind was if scarlet ever worked out a plan B, or if we will see a reincarnation of her down the road.. { i’d also like to take this opportunity to mention the end of zhaitan was ok, not great.. and having to stomp out a reincarnation of That wouldn’t be entirely obnoxious } as long as there is intriguing storyline, and decent implementation.. i don’t know what to expect from season 2, it could be anything..
if nothing other than Mordremoth, or kicking the dead horse that is Scarlet

The writing & characters are so ridiculous I wouldn’t be surprised. GW went from a game with the best MMO story to a sequel with fan-fic characters & bizarre plots. It’s dead.

I’m just glad that Wildstar’s story so far is a lot better than I thought it would be. The GW writers have just lost it. The gameplay in GW2 is still great, but the story is a Deviant Art “story” now.

You do know she is a plant, right?

You can take a cutting off a plant and stick the cutting into the ground and when the new plant grows up it’s identical to the old one.

I really really hope she just stays gone, from the story and the promotions. She was a two-dimensional Harley Quinn knock-off in what was a really awkwardly told first season, and we’re better off without that trainwreck.

It’s bad enough we’re having all this Scarlet retrospective crammed down our throats, busy being told how amazing and iconic she was when she was barely even present until the end. We don’t need to hear what it was like to voice her or how she was designed or anything else – learn from the mistakes and make a better story next time.

It is in the original post. One sentence states she may be gone “for now…” “For now” has an implication that it is a temp. state in the English language. This isn’t to say she is definitely coming back, perhaps they just chose odd language in that sentence, however that is what the discussion is revolving around.
