Is it still in the works? The reason I’m asking is that I’m getting close to the cost of buying The Legend off the TP, and I really, really don’t want to blow all that gold, just to have this system finally implemented in, say, the february patch.

There is no evidence that the scavenger hunt is or when it will come down the pipe. That said, I think Anet will definitely address it. It’s just a matter of when.

One of my guildies petitioned us to all loan him 2g. Between just some of us, he ended up having enough to afford his precursor. If the whole guild contributed, he’d have had enough to afford several legendarys.

Personally, I’d hold onto the gold. As time goes on, you’ll need more and more of it and who’s to say what future changes may happen. Better to be prepared, than to be left with little if you don’t have a reliable way of earning that much back within a short period of time.

Stay frugal. It pays off for more than not.

The motto I live for is “buy when you see it”. So many lost purchases in (real) life taught me that lesson!

You’d still be annoyed if it suddenly dropped from a chest before Feb and if you do get one from the scavenger hunt, IF it ever comes along soon, just sell the precursor and make the money back

I’m worried that any precursors we might get from said scavenger hunt may be instantly soul or account bound to avoid any potential exploits.

I’m hanging tight and waiting on the scavenger hunt for now

Save up ridiculous amounts of gold, buy it, then get kicked in the nuts the next day/week/month with a scavenger hunt or a welfare precursor day (a.k.a. Karka grand finale)…

Personally, I’ll rather wait it out. Oh, I’m already doing that.
