Personally I don’t like my weapons to have eyes, or flesh, or bones, or goopy barf dripping off them.. perhaps there isn’t so much demand for them lol.

I don’t see many people with them either come to think of it.. shrug

They are still available with the BLTC tickets and this week they are on sale for only one ticket (normally cost 3) This might have drove the price down a bit. I know I had a ticket in storage and traded it in for the great sword skin just to sell it and !’m sure others have too. As this is the only skin that is available for one one ticket others are 3+ even during this sale.

I was there when Sclerite skins were first released during the karka event which required a ticket per skin. I spent 150$ and days trying to get 3 Sclerite skins for an end game look.

I only came out with 2 skins when the event ended. I never got a ticket from farming just 2 tickets from the 150$ I spent. I was pretty devastated after putting so much effort into it. In the end I just accepted the fact that they were supposed to be rare skins. After the event ended 2 weeks later I decided to temporarily quit GW2. Since I looked back and found how bizarre I was during Karka event.

I went to try out Diablo 3 and also play LoL again. Few months later now I am back and I have been in spvp for over 2 weeks now just nothing but spvp. I decided to go back to pve and wvw content. When I was in Lions arch I read some map message that a player was selling a sclerite skin. I was like??? So I opened up trading post and search Sclerite. I was so devastated when I saw them ranging around only 40g per skins.

I thought skins like these were supposed to be super rare. What happened?

I’ve hardly seen anyone use them so maybe just go with rarely seen.

You can sell any of those skins you buy from the BL weapons specialist. This was actually how I made enough gold to buy my first precursor. Some lucky BL chests and voila! I actually bought three dreamthistle skins with my tickets because I wanted them (when they were 1 ticket each). But out of curiosity I decided to see they were sellable on the TP before I equipped them. To my utter surpise I found myself the owner of things so valuable that I felt I’d be silly to actually use them. Go figure :p

I can understand your surprise though. I was surprised to find out these were able to be sold as well. It does sort of slap you in the face if you actually put effort into obtaining them in the past.

You got hosed. I’m in the same boat, pretty much. Only I just got one ticket.

I bought a sclerite shield skin a couple months back for 60g!!! :-( dropped instantly when the announcement of discounted black lion weapon skins happened. I really hope they go back up, this 1 week update has put a big dent in them.

Also I’d like to ask Anet why all the other skins have gone from 1 ticket (originally) to 5, yet sclerite skins only went from 1 ticket to 3 tickets? Are they intentionally trying to make sure sclerite skins are the black sheep in the black lion ticket family? Making it easier to get than others? I don’t understand the logic. Why won’t anet put them up to 5 tickets like all the others? (after the discount disappears of course).

They changed the account bound nature of those skins from tickets to unbound. Suddenly more skins (sclerite, jade, etc.) appeared on the TP and prices dropped. Unfortunately, weapons already bought with tickets but unequipped remain account bound.

I got hosed from this because I bought a jade pistol thinking that the vendor would disappear. Never equipped it so now I’ve got a weapon in my inventory that I should have been able to sell for dozens of gold but the change didn’t affect my weapon.

This week’s sale on weapon skins could save you enough money to buy a reliable used car.

“Only” 40g for some ugly skins?
