Guild Wars 2

The Guild Wars 2 Facebook page posted a picture of a character using what looked like a Scythe as a weapon, however the character was in a dark area so it was hard to tell what she was using. Are their Scythes weapons in the game? if so for what class?

Necro’s have an effect when using a staff that makes it look like a scythe, but it’s still a staff.

These professions can use a staff – Mesmer, Elementalist, Guardian, Necromancer

That’s the scythe staff skin that dropped off chests during Halloween. Search for “scythe” on the trade post and I think it pops up. Don’t be surprised if you gotta pay near 100G to get one though, it was a really rare drop.
And there’s Final Rest, the exotic staff dropping from Shadow Behemoth’s chest. On TP for about 20G atm. It looks like a staff with a gargoyle sitting on top, one wing spread out like a scythe blade and the other one almost folded.

I attached the picture if anyone wants to confirm exactly what it is.

That’s just the auto-attack staff skill that adds that affect to whatever staff a necro is using.
