Hello,

Can we get second GW2 account birthday gift? u know the gift gives you 24-Hour 100%
everything bonus includes XP,karma,luck etc. I got a in-game mail from Anet stuff named
“Account Annissevery Gift” last year if I remember correctly.

I hope we can get this every year, am I asking too much?

You get it on the anniversary of the day you you created your first character in game. I got mine yesterday since I was in early access. Same stuff as last year… mini pet, birthday booster, experience scroll for new characters up to level 30, etc. Nothing amazing, but the 24-hour booster is nice for faster leveling.

Really! I thought they wiped all characters from Beta. Are you sure that character was 730+ days old?

Yes, Headstart was August 25th, 2012. No way to have received the second birthday gift yet.

Your character must have received it’s first birthday gift. /shrug

I wonder if they fixed the issue with last year and the headstart chars that didn’t receive their gifts on time. My main was in that bunch, so curious if I’ll get it on time this year or a few days late again. As far as /age goes its all normal there.

I am not at home at the moment to grab a screenshot of my mailbox, but yea… mine came to me yesterday. Headstart was on Aug 25th, but maybe they glitched something? Not sure… I mean not like any of it is useful at all other than the booster unless you start a new character and wanna insta bump to 20.

@tak – I got a 1st birthday gift for a character I created much later than the others….. Are you sure that isn’t what you got?

Monday the 25th is the first possible day you can get the second birthday gift. It doesn’t matter if you were in beta or not. All characters that were in beta were deleted before the 3 day headstart.

Yeah def sounds like the 1st birthday gifts for a 1 year old character, but a screenie of the mail would show for sure.

I got a Birthday Gift a couple of days ago. For my Guardian. Lol, I had no idea I had created it so long after release. It was, of course, a First Birthday Gift.

When you get back to your computer, type in /age on that character. I think you will find it has less than 730+ days.

Or, you are experiencing ‘good’ (got 2nd gift early) or ‘bad’ (same old stuff) luck. Lol.

Oh regarding the age… my original headstart necro has since been deleted. I decided charr was just a bad choice in my book for a necro heh. Oldest one right now is a warrior and I will check him tonight on age and the birthday thing.

Yeah its a poorly worded mail. Pretty much you get one for every characters “birthday.” So it goes by individual dates of character creation rather then account creation.

Ahh. No, the text is a bit confusing, but Birthday Gifts are just that. Gift for the ‘birth’ -day of each character.

So, you get one each time a character (that is still in-game) accrues 365 days in its /age-counter.

So, you got a First Birthday Gift for that character, and that’s why it had the same ol’ stuff! Lol. =)

Yeah each characters birthday will generate a mail for that toon with the relevant gifts. If I had made an alt on 25th Aug 2013, I would get the 2nd birthday gift on my main and the 1st birthday gift on the alt.

Ah… then that alleviates my confusion and OPs question!! You get it on the anniversary of when you MADE your character. I can’t remember which toon I was logged in on, but obviously it was one I made just before the second anniversary of the game.

Haha, I never even noticed the wording in the mail. That’s hilarious, and also makes me wonder if the initial plan had been to be 1 account based birthday. Still, I’m actually quite happy they went with individual character birthdays. I have some turning 2 (starting the 25th), some turning 1, some only half way to their first, and more not yet made.

Yea, I regret deleting my headstart character. Poor decision on my part really… oh well. I come and go from the game so often, that I barely notice the gifts really and they don’t impact me much. Only have about 1k hours played total since release.

but are you sure it was a lvl 30 experience scroll that you got?
because then it must be 2nd birthday

Unfortunately, it is difficult to fit in the awesome second birthday gift I know you’re all asking for within the narrative structure that we have now, so for this year’s gift, you will receive the following:

- 100 Piles of Silky Sand
- 1 Exclusive 100% Speed Booster (Duration 1-Hour)
- 1 Experience Scroll (Level 20 Max)
- 2 Fine Quality Items
- 1 Masterwork Quality Item

And because I’m sure everyone would be terribly disappointed if they received yet another Mini Queen Jennah, this year’s birthday mini will be Risen Priest of Balthazar!

Note: The exclusive 100% Speed Booster is capped at 33% bonus movement speed (same as the swiftness boon) when out of combat.
