Can the developers please consider removing or changing the events requirement for the second tier legendary crafting?

I am currently working on Nevermore IV collection and have waited more than 4 hours for “Stop the grawl from stealing drake eggs” to start and have yet to complete it. There are other players who waited with me and some even longer duration.

I would like to emphasize that this is not hard content, but rather, time wasting content. I’d rather ANET change these collection requirement to require skill than us spending hours waiting for RNG to happen. or timer to finish ticking.

To simply put it, these requirements are plain useless and nothing more than annoying. To me, it feels as though you are “increasing our gametime” via time wastage.

Can the developers please consider removing or changing the events requirement for the second tier legendary crafting?

They are not only considering it, they have actual plans to do so. Details are still tbd and seem to ensuring that collections don’t depend on failed events and that any bugged dependencies are fixed.

Hey!

I do know that they are ensuring collections are not gated behind failed events. But what i am suggesting is to have events that do not have absurd waiting time (i.e. Hours of camping a single map, hoping for event to spawn).

Spending hours waiting for event to spawn doesn’t make a legendary, legendary. Perhaps, introduce a new event in HOT maps that involves killing champions, or something along this line.
