As long as it doesn’t give players an unfair advantage (Macros that input multiple keystrokes by pushing a single button) I believe they’ll remain neutral towards it. Which is to say that they won’t seek players out and ban them for using it, but if players DO somehow get banned for it they’re SOL because they were using a 3rd party program that is not supported by Anet.
That’s how they are with ICM, at least.
Agreed. It would be nice if someone from ANet not necessarily approve or disapprove of the program but to verify if the information we claim is correct.
I thought I had this linked, apparently I didn’t.

Your software only read pictures taken from the UI, there in no issue there, the rest of the process (DPS calculation and connection with others for group DPS) doesn’t involve the GW2 client at all, and it doesn’t offer any advantage. so it is all fine.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)

I wish it was that easy to make everyone understand that truth.
Just a minor note, at least change the opening text on your site so it’s doesn’t completely rip it verbatim from JaxnX :/

I wasn’t aware of this. I let one of the developers that set up the front page of the website know this isn’t acceptable. It will be changed today…
Heh … at least in theory shouldn’t this work for videos of GW2 gameplay that also happens to have the relevant data on screen as well?

Yes it will work. As long there is no pixel loss you will have no problems.
You could just email support. They will give you a definitive, official reply.

I would assume support has protocols they follow whereas I’m looking for someone like Gaile Gray or up that would look at this and question the protocols and bring the topic up at the studio.
It’s such a difficult topic for them to reply to and I don’t blame them for not responding or taking their time in doing so.
