Select new Stats for Zerker Ascended Gear
I will be more than happy to take the gear off your hands
Berserker gear is still the best
It maybe fine for some classes but the change set some peoples damage back enough that there are other things that are better to run and had the stats been the way they are now before, it would not have been the goal for those people to obtain zerkers in the first place.
If you had zerker gear, you wanted top dps.
Zerker remains top dps.
Therefore you get nothing.
How do you lost 35% of your dmg output?
I run full Ascended Berserker set and I only notice my damage lower by around 10% in total.
You still have what you got the gear for, the dps. Why do you want to change now?
What do you wanna change into? Soldier?

I’ll break the math down for you.
old 107% crit damage + 150% base crit damage = 257% damage on crit
New damage 222% damage on crit
so 257 – 222 = oh crap thats 35% damage
As for zerker being highest dps, yes it is still highest but the risk worth the gain and after the new stats no its not (for some classes/builds).
I’ll keep my zerk gear, but would like the chance to respec my assassin gear.
Into zerk gear, which didn’t get nerfed as hard.
I don’t get posts talking about risk of damage focused gear. What risk? When fighting ai the risk is low. When I go down I don’t think, dang, wish I had more toughness. I think, oops, missed a dodge. I used to have balanced gear. Switched to damage during Queens Jubilee and would never go back. The difference in survivability is minor, the difference in speed of killing things is enormous. They’d have to remove crit entirely to get me to use another stat.

Maths 101: How to work out a percentage decrease.
Take the new total from the original. 257 – 222 = 35
Divide the difference by the original number. 35 / 257 = 0.1361
Times this total by 100 to get the percentage decrease. 0.1361 * 100 = 13.61%
35% would have taken you down to 167ish (in case you were wondering: 257 * 0.35, and take the result from the original)
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.

35/257 = 13.6% damage loss…which is still more than 10% and somewhat significant. =|

Even with that number, you assume a crit chance of 100%. Do you have the perfect party to have full 100% crit chance? I don’t (except in low level areas/dungeons, because of the bad downscaling).
The guy says my “damage output is 35% less effective than before”. People say “no: it’s around 10%”.
With 90% crit chance, you lose about 13.3% dmg
With 80% crit chance, you lose about 12.6% dmg
With 70% it becomes about 12%.
So please, take everything in account.

13.6% loss if you always crit and less if your crit chance is lower, but correct me if im wrong.
Well they originally said ‘max DPs’ builds will lose about 10% damage. Crit chance and crit damage aside (handled in the few posts above), a ‘max DPs’ build also relies on +X% damage modifications which stack multiplicatively. This could be the reason for the minor discrepancy in damage calculated by stats alone.
How is that armor trash, it is all relative to the rest of the armor in the game that had reductions and is still the best option for DPS. Are you upset that now it isn’t vastly vastly superior? And just regular superior?
I give this complaint a 1 out of 5.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
You only lost 10 -14.4% at most
I easily have over 100% critical rate with sigil of perception stacks, Fury (I’m a Mesmer, so my Phantasms always have this), and Banner of Discipline. 13.6% isn’t a lot for casual playing, but for things like speed runs, it makes a pretty big difference. I personally don’t mind it too much since my build isn’t as DPS oriented as some other folks’, but just saying…it’s not a minor nerf.
