I just purchased the Imperial outfit for my Norn Elementalist and really like the blue theme I’m using for it. However, it clashes with one portion of my character still visible from my initial character creation, namely the hair band at the top of the head, which is a purplish hue. I’d like to redo that part and make it blue to fit the outfit theme. My question is, having not used any kits before, which would I need to purchase, the self-style hair or the total makeover? I’m not certain if the hair kit also covers the accessory in question. I’m happy with the way the character looks in every other respect and don’t want to change it – just the color of the band. Nope, that’s the one thing those kits won’t change. Sadly.

Uh, I thought you COULD change that with the hair kit. You can change it with the total makeover kit. I don’t see why the hair kit wouldn’t let you.

My advice, though, is to pick a style that doesn’t have an accessory. This way you won’t have to worry about it if you decide to change your armor colors.

Maybe another approach would be if I use a Dragon Mask or Phantom’s Hood? Would either of those be compatible to use with the outfit?

um… you can use Hair Kit to change color of hair accessory.

Nope, you can’t put other helms on outfits; you have to use the outfit’s helm or not use any helm.

kitten , when did that happen. I clearly remember many threads asking for this. That’s what I get for not checking this on live. Sorry for the misinformation.

I think what you’re remembering is people asking to be able to dye the hair accessories without a kit, preferably with the full dye palette. The kits have always, afaik, allowed changing of hair and accessory color. I think the complaints were that it was too expensive if all you wanted was an accessory color change, especially with the limited starting colors being all you could use.
