As an Asuran player there are a lot of things that I can stand for being a small midget, such as carrying small weapons that significantly appear different from that of a Norn because of race scale (naturally). In this case, I’m actually upset about the selfless potion. So upset that I actually have to make a post about it. It’s literally too tiny. I’m not one to complain, but this I can’t stand. I really want it to look bigger by 25% perhaps.

What halo are you talking about? I don’t see anything. Are you sure you used the potion?

On a regular note. Yeah, the scaling is a bit off on that one. Way too tiny.

Wow that is small. I was thinking about saving up for it, but if it is going to be that small over my Asura main I’m not going to waste my time. That thing really does need a size increase.

Tomorrow’s reset I’ll have it, but I won’t be happy about it. After farming for long hours only to find out it’s tiny. Sigh. Disappointing. You can still get it and use it on your other character. I believe it’s account bound.

Does it give a buff of some sort?

The potion is a buff that gives a Halo (or Horn if Thoughtless Potion) to your character over it’s head. You can use it in an infinite amount of time. I’m not sure if you can fight with it while in combat or if you can use it elsewhere.

What is this!? A potion for ants? It needs to be….at least 25 % bigger than this.

Five resets? The patch came out barely before the reset on Tuesday so I doubt people got any before then. That leaves only 3 resets with everything else from the bags. Or am I missing something?

Three resets, four opportunities to search the rubble piles, counting the brief period between the content update and Tuesday night reset. I doubt anyone actually managed to find all 40 in that time, but I’m sure many players found at least some. I suspect the rest were obtained by hopping from OF to OF to gather more heirlooms from the bonus reward chests, in addition to just lucky drops from the regular supply bags.

We all know that Selfless Asura don’t exist. The fact that Asura can use it is a bug.

Pretty easy

After release there was a bug, where you could collect those heirlooms on overflow servers multiple time and gues what a lot of ppl abused this bug and some even got it their 250 heirlooms on the same day or on the 2nd day….

Apperently this bug is now fixed and the rest of guild wars that hasnt had the chance to abuse this bug now has to farm day for day for day….

And ye the halo on asura really is way to tiny imo but probably gets fixed? Dunno i also hope they give you another method to farm this heirlooms because I need more than just 1 of this potions and i cant farm in this 2 weeks enough for 3 or 4 characters….

But hey, at least the spinal blades don’t float above a Charr’s back, so not a total loss there

One of my regrets of having an Asura
This along with many back pieces and weapons don’t give my Asura the same feeling as if it were on any other race. Either start making add-ons that look crappy on bigger races or make this stuff look better on the Asura

Ooh, yeah, I’d prefer it is the halo was a little bigger.

Always the same problems with Asura Love this race but sometimes these things are just pointless to invest in. I was working towards Light of Dwayna and then previewed it on my asura: so tiny (and floaty)

Update: here’s a comparison to my other Asura vs a char.
You can barely see it and it over laps with the hair. Not only is it not big enough, it’s not high enough to be noticed.

Hello, i’m posting here to join the general complaint about those potions. I’ve bought the Toughless Potion just for my asura, because is my main, and i feel scammed. They are too small and a part of the horns are inside of the hair, which in other races do not happen as much.

I really regret buying this potion. I could have bought the other potion for my other characters and be happy with it. I know, and i’ve lived with the fact that all the weapons are scaled (because seems logic), but this is way too small and unfair. If those aren’t rescaled in the next updates, i’d like to have a refund to buy the other potion.

I hope this is some kind of error and gets fixed soon.

I’m adding my participation aswell, common anet, look at this, why is it perfectly centered on my human and absolutly not on my asura ? How is that even possible ? Please test your potion and fix them quick !

Ya, definitely too small.

I think the problem is that asura have much larger heads compared to body size than human.

This really bugs me. I worked hard to get the right in place, only to find the halo looks like a spaghettio. It’s not even centered x.x I really hope they fix this.

Asura arah light armor still has no pants (you can see your crotch while running), and people are demanding a fix this new tonic thingy? It’s nice to have dreams, I guess.

You can want the Asura light armor fixed. That in no way negates the fact that the halo on the Asura needs to be fixed, too.

Did they not test this out? The halo and horns being small is one thing. We’re Asura; we’re used to that. The horns and halo disappearing into hair styles? That has to be an oversight. My toes can stick out of my boots all day, I can still see the boots.

It’s like they didn’t even test it on asura.

“Oh, looks great on human. Cool, now apply the auto-resizing algorithm to them for the other races and let’s get back to designing gem store items.”

Easy on the hate son. We all have our opinions for something. Rather than expressing your emotions, put some actual constructive criticism and thoughts on how to improve it instead of whining about it.

I know this thread is about asura and I hate to interrupt, but.. I was going to get the Thoughtless tonic on my asura guardian until I saw this thread. I quickly decided, “screw that noise.”

Then I decided I would instead put a Selfless potion on either my sylvari engineer or my sylvari warrior, both male, max height. Then I realized the engineer has the tree branch head and the warrior uses the T3 heavy cultural helm, and.. There could be seriously heinous clipping with both of those, given the problems asura are having and many of male sylvari’s unresolved, gross armour problems.

So can anyone confirm/deny? Maybe I will put Thoughtless on my asura guardian afterall. :[ Better undersized horns than a clipped halo, maybe.. Or maybe I won’t bother to grind heirlooms at all.

i think it’s cute and adorable the way that it looks on the asura race considering how small they are. i for one love the size of it.
