I don’t really mind the size of the Halo but i would really love if it was not so transparent, kinda hard to see it from afar on some areas : /

Is there any confirmation yet that ANet will fix this bug? With certain hairstyles and helms you can’t see it at all. The halo is also too far forward on the models, it’s not centered above the head.

I actually like the thoughtless potion on my asura.

It’s so dissapointing… Collecting Heirlooms for that Halo during 5 days and end up with that result….

Also, the location is not centered. >.<

On human, the halo looks great. Properly sized and placed.

Agreed, The scaling on that thing Is way to small! And I clips with big hair and helmets like shown above! There is no clipping with other races as far as Iv seen, This needs a change.

Barely visible on my Asuran character. To me the halo needs to have size increased, the positioned made higher, and be centered over top of the head.

As per the image with the Human vs. the asura, why the hell is the human’s halo at least the size of their head while the asura’s is not even half? And no red post yet…

If I get one of these, it’ll be sitting in my bank until (if ever) it gets fixed for asura. Especially considering almost every single character I have is Asura.

We need an Asura Dev to hijack some asuran technology and give these two items a little growth for our brethren.

Oh I really hope they fix this…I was planning on getting the Selfless on my Asura Elementalist because she would look adorable with it…but if it’s THAT unnoticeable…nyehhh.

For those posting here that are hoping Anet is watching this thread, they do seem to be watching it as they are also directing other people posting about these issues to post in this thread. Not sure if you can expect a red post here yet, but at least it is good to know they are watching and reading your feedback.

How does the potion work? is it on permanently when you activate it or only for a few minutes and then on cool down?

Another poorly scaled item for Asura. I was very sad to see what I went through a grind and spent 10 gold for. I hope this gets the same attention we T3 cultural armor (heavy)/ any weapon users have been waiting for since launch.

Display issues with these potions are not Asura-only problems, although Asura characters clearly have one of the many valid complaints about them. Rather than adjust them for Asura only, what really needs to happen is a reevaluation of position, size, transparency, etc for both potions for every race. For example, while the halo is too small on Asura, the horns are actually positioned fairly well for them, as compared to being miles away from the head on humans. Overall they give the appearance of having been rushed out the door without the appropriate amount of time spent tweaking them to ensure that they actually attach to the characters properly.

I think it needs to be scaled up, too. Zoomed out i cant even see it.

The lack of a red response imo tells me they care very little for stuff like this, most likely because it’s not a gem store item so they aren’t losing any real money….If a Gem Store item even clips on one tiny thing, they insta-fix it and you see red responses, but there has been no indication that devs even know, or care, about this issue.

Don’t worry Handin, have some faith in Arena Net. They’re reading this, and I’m sure they’ll fix it soon. Right now they are occupied with the final ‘season’ of the living story.

Since you bring it up that’s a very good point. Most of those things are responded to the day of. Well I pay for gems based on how the game is as a whole, so if they want to half-kitten this then I won’t pay for gems

asuran halo is totally wrong, there heads are larger than other races heads, so the halo needs to be a little bigger for it to look right, and also its way too low compared to all the other races, and not centred. ~heres screenies of my asuran: bandana hair/halo and accended heavy/halo

As an Asuran player there are a lot of things that I can stand for being a small midget, such as carrying small weapons that significantly appear different from that of a Norn because of race scale (naturally). In this case, I’m actually upset about the selfless potion. So upset that I actually have to make a post about it. It’s literally too tiny. I’m not one to complain, but this I can’t stand. I really want it to look bigger by 25% perhaps.

Not only the size but the effect and color as well… it will disappear in most heads and headwear.

It certainly needs to be more apparent, glowing and sparkling.

I would like to add that there is some clipping going on too.

On my Asura elementalist the halo is clipping in my character’s head when I cast e.g. auto attacks on scepter with my ele (Air, Fire, Earth). I added some screens of these attacks, to show what I mean.

Apart from the abovementioned scepter auto attacks this also happens when using the following attacks:

Dagger – Earth 1 and 2 + Water 3
Focus – Water 5

I think it’s safe to say, that this happens with all skills where the Asura is raising his/her hand or leaning forward in the same way as in the scepter auto attacks on elementalist – see also attached screens.

Further information on my character:
I have the smallest (female) Asura available wearing T3 cultural light armor. No idea if the selected character model affects this bug in any way though. I could imagine that the halo’s general position (not centered but above the forehead) could partly be causing this.

I went for the horns, scalings out of whack. looks great on a super closeup.. space them out seeing as we’ve a decent size head and a little bigger in general thanks. Standing next to a similarly horned human = lols.

I think there isn’t much attention from the general population maybe because of the title that is very specific. “Selfless/Thoughtless potion feedback (technical issues)” would be a better title in my opinion.

I really would like to see both potions to be more close to the head on human characters, especially if the head armor is hidden.
This may not be as problematic as the things I saw on the pictures here, but I’m (again) very disapointed, that it seems to be more about to generate as much content as possible, then to offer high quality content.
